00:00There's still a lot of goodwill towards my dad. I mean, he's detractors, his critics. They can call him whatever name, so I can call him
00:07Clap, Tokrat, or Orang Jahat, or whatever. But you can't erase the good that you've done in the past.
00:14I think we have to take it into stride. I mean, we gather strength from my dad himself. I mean, he's such a resilient person.
00:23I mean, although he's dealing with a lot of challenges, court cases, what have you, you know, accumulated in public media and all that.
00:31But he's still very, very stoic, very, very calm, and very patient in the face of adversity.
00:40So we draw strength from that. And another thing is there's still a lot of goodwill towards my dad.
00:47I mean, he's detractors, his critics. They can call him whatever name, so I can call him Clap, Tokrat, or Orang Jahat, or whatever.
00:55But you can't erase the good that you've done in the past.
00:59There's still a lot of Malaysians who still respect and love my dad for whatever he's done in the past.
01:05I mean, for instance, he's popular with the Indian community.
01:08Very, very.
01:09Even some leaders in the other political parties, they quietly say to me that,
01:13actually, your dad has done a lot for the Indian community.
01:16And for other Malaysians, for that matter, he's popular with the Orang Asli.
01:21He's helped them a lot in the past, try to bring them the development agenda in Pekan and elsewhere in Malaysia.
01:28He's popular with the Sabah Sarawak people for advancing the idea of Pan Borneo Highway.
01:34And he's the prime minister who visited Sabah Sarawak the most during his tenure.
01:40And he's done a lot to try to bring down the cost of living while he was in charge.
01:48And the last puasa, I remember one trader at the local Bazaar in Pekan came up to me crying to say that,
01:58you know, under Barisan National Government, between 2009 and 2018, they introduced BRIM.
02:06And from that BRIM allocation, she managed to start her own small catering business or trading business
02:15through that BRIM allocation which was used as seed money.
02:19Wow, okay.
02:20Yeah, so he's done a lot, he's abolished.
02:24ISA gave freedom of speech to some extent.
02:27There's still a lot of goodwill, despite what these critics would say.
02:31So you're truly a bad person, and if you won't see all this goodwill, you won't see this kind of feedback, right?
02:37If it was truly bad, I think we'd be condemned universally around Malaysia.
02:41But that's not the case with my dad, so we draw strength from that.
02:44So we have to pick up from there, push forward.
02:48Good night.
