00:18Najib's lead counsel, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafi Abdullah, informed presiding judge Justice

00:32Justice Sequeira thanked parties for assisting the High Court in the case and fixed September
00:3730 for written submissions to be filed simultaneously with replies due by October 10.
00:44The judge also fixed October 21-24 and October 27-31 for oral submissions before the court.
00:51The prosecution's trial began on August 28, 2019 and concluded on May 30, 2023.
00:59After 233 hearing days and testimony from 50 witnesses, on October 30, 2023, the High Court
01:09ordered Najib to enter his defence.
01:12He took the stand as the first defence witness on December 2.
01:16Among the 26 witnesses called were former 1MDB chairman Tan Sri Che Lodin Wak Kamaruddin and
01:23Tenku Datuk Rahima Sultan Mahmood, sister to Terengganu's Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin.
