00:00Yes, Jimmy, if I could ask, we've seen reports the last couple of days about, you mentioned the president's statement today about the Houthis and their ceasing of attacks on U.S. ships.
00:15But we've also seen reports in the region that Israel is calling up more reservists for a potential expansion in Gaza.
00:22Can you speak to the challenge of fighting all of the different Iranian proxies at once?
00:29And is this an area of concern as far as the potential for an expansion in the fighting and the conflict in Gaza?
00:36Well, you know, we've seen clearly the nature of Hamas and that it has to be wiped off out of Gaza completely if there's to be any peace.
00:44We certainly have seen the impact on Hezbollah as Israel continues to defend itself against that armed squad of Iran and the Houthis as well.
00:54The good news is the United States, of course, can do many things at once.
00:58Israel also has a right to defend itself.
01:02And as an ally, we support that and we clearly have made that clear to the world as well.
01:09And the remarkable agreements and at least even just getting Iran to the table has been a tremendous accomplishment for our ambassadors, for President Trump's foreign policy.
01:23So it's it's it's not what one would want.
01:27We want you want a peaceful world.
01:29President Trump came in to a world that was left behind through the previous administration in a condition that required immediate intervention.
01:41And that is what he has done.
01:42And that is what the American people expected is acting on that expectation.
01:47It's it's again, a lot of us would certainly everyone involved in these conflicts and wars.
01:55This is not what any family anywhere in the world imagines what the next day would be for their families.
02:00And I'm proud and we all should be that the United States continues to work to change all of these conflicts, to to bring them to heal, to stop them and to make people's lives better.
02:14I'm very excited that many efforts are going to bring fruit to our conversations and we'll be able to talk about more about that later in the week.
02:26But no, I think that when it comes to Israel defending itself, us supporting Israel and the nature of our commitment for peace in that region, Iran is certainly at that framework.
02:40And we have tremendous ambassadors like Steve Witkoff setting the table there about what needs to happen for the country, for the region and for the world.
