00:00Chris Finch very unhappy with that. There's no excuse with giving up a one-pass-ahead, carry-it-to-the-rim layup off a made basket.
00:10That's just a lack of effort on Minnesota's play.
00:13Conley working with Randle again. Now Randle drives it with his right hand.
00:18McDaniels. And McDaniels scores with the left.
00:26McDaniels so long at 6'9".
00:30It's only his fifth year and starting to emerge as a top player here with the Wolves.
00:36Good compliment to Edwards.
00:39Kaminga showing a little sauce. He's got it.
00:42Jonathan Kaminga can certainly do that when he gets it going.
00:49Kaminga has been out of the rotation at the end of the regular season on into the playoffs.
00:54Shot clock is off. Wolves' chance at the last shot. Jackson Davis fouls Julius Randle. Had one to give here.
01:07He's going to get Peyton and Braxton Key, the 14th warrior to play in the first half.
01:16Let's go to Lauren Jabara.
01:18Guys, quick word on Anthony Edwards.
01:19Left ankle sprain. He is questionable to return to tonight's game.
01:23Thank you for the hustle there, Lauren.
01:25So Edwards stepped on by Jackson Davis.
01:32We'll have to see how this one goes the rest of the way.
01:35That was fired off the backboard, and that's how we end the first half.
01:41Minnesota got off to a 13-0 start.
01:43They're up 56-39, but their star, Anthony Edwards, is out of the game and questionable to return with a left-angle injury.
01:54E.J. and the gang in our Atlanta studios coming up next.
01:57You're watching the second round presented by Wingstop.
02:00Minnesota Timberwolves trying to even this series at a game apiece, and Julius Randle doing his part with 16 points in the first half.
02:14Minnesota has led by 22.
02:16They have not trailed, and it is a 17-point game at the break as we bring you inside Studio J for the American Express Halftime Report.
02:26Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley.
02:31So in game one, we were talking about Steph Curry's injury, and he's out for a week at least.
02:37And now we're talking about Anthony Edwards with a left-ankle injury.
02:41And you can actually go back to the Lakers series when he and LeBron James got tangled up.
02:50This one I thought was actually worse, Ernie, than the one today because LeBron is not a light fellow.
02:56Yep.
02:57And so let's go to tonight.
03:00And Trace Jackson Davis comes down on the left ankle.
03:06He's not a light fellow either.
03:08It is a sprained ankle.
03:11Questionable to return to the game, Chuck.
03:13Well, the good thing is they got a big lead.
03:16So he – they – I'm hoping – first, I hope he's all right.
03:22But they got a big lead.
03:24So hope – and they got a better team.
03:26With or without an ant, they got more players who are capable of scoring to keep this lead.
03:31So I expect them to win this game comfortably.
03:34But, man, it's interesting watching this Warrior team play, man.
03:37I don't know what the hell they're doing.
03:39They've had –
03:39What can they do, aren't they, Chuck?
03:40Well, first of all, Jimmy Butler, why is he not being aggressive?
03:44Like, he's not even looking at the basket.
03:46He's got to be more aggressive.
03:47What's really where they don't have –
03:48Five field goal attempts in the first half.
03:50But they don't have a point guard.
03:52Like, they – unless Draymond were to get a rebound and push it,
03:55I don't know how they would get any pace in the game without a point guard out there.
03:59No, it's out of sync.
04:01And, you know, you've seen 24 – I mean, 24-second violations.
04:04Yeah, because they could be – like, me and Ken – I said, Kenny,
04:07who did they start and who they got in the game?
04:09There's not a single point guard.
04:11That's really weird a team don't have a backup point guard.
04:13Let's go to the American Express teammates right quick
04:16and see what that will tell us about the first half.
04:20Julius Randle with 16 and has seven.
04:23They shot 48%.
04:25Meantime, Jimmy Butler with six.
04:27And Draymond Green has got five.
04:29And Draymond Green also, Shaq, has got another technical foul.
04:34He's getting in that danger zone for being suspended.
04:36What did you make of what you saw from that play with Draymond tonight?
04:41Questionable.
04:41You know, back in our day when a guy was that close to you,
04:44you'd make contact with him.
04:46But, you know, they probably call it, you know, the little flailing.
04:49You know, Draymond has that reputation.
04:50So, even if he wasn't doing it on purpose,
04:53it may look like he was doing it on purpose.
04:54But that was something like we used to do back in our day.
04:56And you want to get close, I'm going to try to draw the foul.
04:59And as I'm drawing the foul, I'm touching you up.
05:01So, from that angle, it looks like, yeah, he's sending them a message to,
05:04hey, get up off me.
05:06But that's, okay, that's five technicals.
05:08And Steph trying to calm him down.
05:10If you get seven, you get a suspension.
05:12He didn't calm down.
05:13Yeah.
05:14He had to take him out the game.
05:15I know.
05:15That was the thing that was, that was the thing probably more disturbing.
05:18Because, number one, that was a flagrant.
05:19Because you can't hit, anytime you make a head contact.
05:21But the thing that bothered me the most, like, yo, man, we're,
05:24Steph had, like, we already short-handed.
05:26And you still are.
05:27And they've called a flagrant.
05:29They've called a technical.
05:30Let it go.
05:30And we always talk about you get those,
05:33and it affects the way you have to, you can play going forward.
05:37And now two technicals away from a suspension.
05:39Well, he's always going to be in that danger zone.
05:43However, the difference when, I want to pick up on what Chuck said.
05:47The difference when Anthony Edwards goes out,
05:49no one leaves their natural position.
05:51So, Mike Conley, this is a point.
05:53You come in, McDaniels, he can play the two.
05:56Nas Reed still plays his position.
05:58Rudy goes.
05:59When Steph leaves, everyone is not in their natural position.
06:03So, now, your responsibility changed.
06:05They're like, if Ernie Johnson leaves today and we got to read the prompter
06:10and change it, it's going to change the whole dynamic of the show.
06:13And, you know, I think that's the difference of what happens
06:16when Steph or someone else leaves.
06:19But isn't it weird that they don't have a point guard?
06:21I mean, they don't have another announcer sitting in the back.
06:24No, but I'm just saying.
06:26There's no –
06:27Like, normally a team has a backup point guard.
06:31No doubt.
06:31No doubt.
06:32Well, tell me about Ant's first half before he left.
06:34No Tuesday night crew.
06:35You know, we all love a superstar with great potential.
06:39He's young and, you know, he's that guy.
06:41So, when his coach called him out, I'm saying,
06:43okay, this dude's going to go for 59.
06:45He's playing okay, two for seven.
06:47You know, playing with a lot of energy.
06:48Did his thing to, you know, go back to what Chuck said.
06:53I do hope he's okay.
06:53You know, those two plays are –
06:55I was looking forward to him going for 45 points.
06:57Defensively, also, Chuck.
06:59I mean, the guy –
07:00You know, this team right here now, without Steph Curry, doesn't have any kind of identity.
07:07And this is what the Golden State Warriors don't want to see when he retires.
07:11I mean, I was looking for him to go off, go for 45, go for 50.
07:16Because, like, Superstar, usually when they get called out, they respond, really respond.
07:20So, that's what I was looking forward to.
07:22But I hope he's okay.
07:23Seven points.
07:24He does have three assists.
07:25He does have four rebounds and three steals as well.
07:28And it's a 56-39 game at the break.
07:32And thanks for, you know, Kenny kind of hijacked your pictures.
07:36But you maintained your composure.
07:39You were fine.
07:40I thought he did it.
07:41I didn't have to –
07:43Edwin Thompson, you are correct.
07:45Why?
07:46Big Papa's in the house.
07:47I don't mention Big Papa, Mr. Smith.
07:49Okay.
07:49He is enough.
07:50Big Pops!
07:51Looking good.
07:52There you go.
07:53Yes, indeed.
07:54Great to see him, as always.
07:56You already know how –
07:57Yes, sir.
07:58But you don't want to mess with Big Papa, so I'm going to let it slide tonight, Ernie.
08:03I am the American Express Halftime Report, so Anthony Edwards is back out here.
08:08The questionable –
08:09Well, the question is answered, America.
08:11The question is answered.
08:13That man is coming back right there.
08:14You're not a doctor, but I've got to agree with you.
08:18You can explode with a man and a man holding –
08:21The man can't hold you?
08:23You're pulling the man forward.
08:24I'm going to –
08:26The question.
08:29Minneapolis on a Thursday night.
08:32And we get ready to start the third quarter here of this game two.
08:36Second round action between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Golden State Warriors.
08:41Brian Anderson, Stan Van Gundy.
08:42Big story right now.
08:43Obviously, Curry's out for a while, but Anthony Edwards with that sprained ankle, his left ankle.
08:49We saw him come out, Stan, during the halftime break at about the six-minute mark.
08:53He was working through this injury.
08:55Trace Jackson Davis came down on top of that left ankle.
09:00At the time, it was questionable that he would return, but he looks like he's going to give it a go here, Coach.
09:04Yeah, which is good news, and Timberwolves fans were very excited when he came out of the locker room.
09:12Went through all of the exercises, tested that ankle, and is a thumbs-up, Lauren Jabara, and he's on the floor to start this third quarter.
09:21He is a thumbs-up.
09:22PR just telling me he is available to return, and we see that from him starting.
09:26But after he was helped off the court, after coming out this second half, guys, he was testing out his ankle quite a bit and then ending up coming out, sprinting, feeling good.
09:35But remember, this is the same ankle that he tweaked in game four of the last round against the Lakers in a collision with LeBron.
09:41So good for fans everywhere, NBA fans, that he's good to go.
09:44Thanks, Lauren.
09:45First possession of the second half is a Jimmy Butler layup.
09:49So without Edwards on the floor, the Wolves went plus one in the scoring column without him.
09:56Now they get him back.
09:5856-41.
10:00The lead is 15.
10:01A three-pointer is in and out.
10:03And you see Kuminga in the starting lineup during the second half instead of went post.
10:10Again, Jaden McDaniels picks up Jimmy Butler.
10:14They get the switch.
10:14And now Draymond Green for three.
10:16Comes up short.
10:17Draymond got a technical, dead ball technical, in the first half.
10:24Same starting five on the floor for the second half, as we have seen through all these playoff games for the Wolves.
10:31That's a turnover for Jemsky, forced it, and now Anthony Edwards fouls Kuminga.
10:37That could be a take foul.
10:38Well, it's got to be.
10:39I mean, that was about as obvious a one as you're going to get here.
10:43Tony Brothers called it right away.
10:44He just grabs Kuminga.
10:49It's not a clear path as Randall was out ahead.
10:52But the one-shot technical and the ball for Golden State.
10:57I wish they would just go to the same penalty for that and not have to determine whether it's clear path or a take foul.
11:04Just make them both the same.
11:06Two free throws and the ball out of bounds discourage it even more.
11:09So now, the Warriors down 14 with the ball.
11:18Well, Kermit is starting lineup.
11:20The foul by Heald.
11:21He can't get it to go.
11:24McDaniels hounded.
11:25And Buddy Heald knocks it out of bounds.
11:27That's going to be Wolves' ball.
11:29Buddy Heald convinced that McDaniels touched it last.
11:34Steve Kerr taking a peek.
11:35And Steve Kerr is going to challenge this.
11:38He is going to play the odds here.
11:43His video team tells him to challenge.
11:45Oh, good call.
11:46Right off the foot.
11:46Good call by his video.
11:49Earn badges to win prizes with the NBA ID Playoff Challenge.
11:52Members in the U.S. and Canada who complete the challenge get the chance at a trip to the NBA draft.
11:58You can play now on the NBA app or at nba.com slash ID.
12:03And a stand called on his way out.
12:05Successful challenge by Steve Kerr and company.
12:08It'll be Warriors ball.
12:10Hit the back of the foot of McDaniels.
12:13And Golden State now.
12:16Coming out of this halftime locker room with a little bit of a run.
12:19They're down 14.
12:20Minnesota's biggest lead was 22.
12:24And Draymond Green wide open for three misses.
12:29Well, Draymond Green is going to be open for three a lot being guarded by Rudy Gobert.
12:33He's going to keep going to protect the rim.
12:36And they'll live with Draymond Green.
12:38He made four threes in the first half of game one.
12:42But you've got to pick what you're willing to live with.
12:46Here's Mike Conley for three.
12:47Conley, that is true.
12:48Beautiful stroke.
12:51And Mike Conley knocks in another three-pointer.
12:54That's his second.
12:58Saw Gobert kind of grabbing at his eye.
13:00That missed shot by Green glanced off the rim and hit Gobert.
13:04He's struggling with it right now.
13:07He's struggling with it right now as Kaminga's shut off.
13:08And there's the guy in the long reach of Jaden McDaniels with a steal.
13:13And now Randall as Kaminga knocks it off his knee.
13:18Jonathan Kaminga a little redemption on the other end.
13:21But Jemsky pushes it.
13:23Here's Kaminga exploding to the basket for a jam.
13:27Well, Kaminga, 12 points, six for six from the floor.
13:30Does have a couple of turnovers.
13:32Each team now with eight turnovers after Minnesota turns it over down there.
13:37Actually, ten turnovers for Golden State.
13:39Julius Randall working with Edwards here.
13:45Conley finds Randall.
13:47Wide open for three.
13:48Short.
13:49The Jemsky with a rebound.
13:51Here comes Kaminga.
13:52Edwards picks up Green.
14:01Now Heald finds Butler.
14:02Wide open for three.
14:04Butler hits.
14:05Well, a breakdown defensively for the Wolves.
14:08And Chris Finch is incensed on that Minnesota sideline.
14:12Warriors cut it to 12.
14:14And again, they've got to do it with their defense.
14:18Edwards all the way to the Cubs.
14:20Missed it.
14:20Gobert is there.
14:21He is fouled.
14:22Anthony Edwards is just missing in this series a lot of shots right at the rim.
14:31Every time, every time he is complaining that he got fouled.
14:36Look, that's not a playoff foul.
14:38Anthony Edwards.
14:39He might have gotten bumped a little.
14:41That's not going to get called in the playoffs.
14:43He's been through enough games going to the conference finals last year that he should know that.
14:48And he's got to finish those shots.
14:52See, Gobert still having trouble with that right eye.
14:58That ball came off the rim and was a direct hit on Gobert.
15:01How do you think Anthony Edwards is moving?
15:05I know you've been watching him here in this second half.
15:07Seemed like he was pretty explosive right there.
15:09Yeah, he didn't seem to have a problem there.
15:12He didn't go up and dunk the ball.
15:14But, you know, certainly seemed like he was moving fine.
15:17He's just struggled in his last three, two and a half games here.
15:21After a great start to the playoffs in the first four games of that Lakers series, he has struggled on the offensive end.
15:28He's done a lot of other good things.
15:30Rebounded.
15:31Had some assists, steals, blocked shots tonight.
15:34But, getting the ball in the basket has been difficult for Anthony Edwards.
15:38Butler, Gobert guards him.
15:42Butler, shot's fake, not there.
15:44Healed with McDaniels on it.
15:46That's a tough guy to shake.
15:47Long cue.
15:49McDaniels fixes it into a difficult jump shot.
15:55McDaniels having a great game.
15:57Got three blocks.
15:58A couple of steals.
15:59Now he spins and hangs and scores off one leg.
16:02Jay McDaniels having a night.
16:05He's got 12 points now, and he's been a beast defensively.
16:09Dominguez gets it deep, and Nas Reid fouls him.
16:13Reid upset at that call by Tyler Ford.
16:17He's side out of bounds.
16:21McDaniels, great spin, and then a tough floater there, runner.
16:25But Minnesota, this is the second time tonight, they struggled just to get back and get matched up on a made basket.
16:32McDaniels has increased his scoring significantly here in the playoffs, as Butler gets it and one, with Rudy Gobert guarding him.
16:44Well, they need, this is the Jimmy Butler they need.
16:46He's going to have to score for this team.
16:50He's been playing his time with the Warriors, just sort of scoring when he needs to.
16:55Well, this is the time that he needs to.
16:57He's always been adept at finishing baskets, especially against bigger players.
17:07He brings a smile to Stephen Curry.
17:10Out with a hamstring injury in game one in the second quarter.
17:14He re-evaluated in a week with a grade one hamstring injury.
17:20Butler caps off a three-point trip.
17:22We've got a 12-point game here.
17:24Jimmy has eight in the quarter.
17:28Here's Conley now.
17:30Finds Nas Reid, open shooter, and he misses.
17:36Warriors on a run.
17:37They've had an excellent third quarter.
17:39Butler and Pajemski, two-man game.
17:43Now Conley on Butler.
17:44That's the matchup they want.
17:45They clear it out.
17:47Butler picked up his dribble.
17:49And now six to shoot.
17:51Kaminga gets a step on Gobert.
17:53And dunks it down on Gobert.
17:56And the Golden State bench pops off their seats.
18:00This is a ten-point game.
18:01Kaminga, seven for seven from the floor in 13 minutes.
18:08And a turnover.
18:11Pajemski up ahead.
18:12Finds Buddy Heald in the corner.
18:14Cash!
18:15And here come the Warriors.
18:18Wow, what a flurry for Golden State.
18:22A brilliant start to this third quarter.
18:24And it's a seven-point game.
18:26Bring the flavor.
18:28Presented by Wingstop and Coach, the Warriors out to a 16-6 start this quarter.
18:33Yeah, look.
18:34Jonathan Kaminga stuck in the second half.
18:38Steve Kerr pushing the right button there.
18:41And then Buddy Heald cuts it to seven with his second three of the night.
18:48Minnesota led by 22 with just over three minutes left in the second quarter.
18:53Since that time, the Warriors have outscored the Wolves 31-16.
18:59They're plus 15 in that window.
19:02And Coach, it's the first single-digit lead since the start of the game.
19:05Remember, Minnesota jumped out to a 13-0 lead to start this game.
19:11As Nas Reed coming out of the timeout.
19:12No good.
19:13Green's there for the rebound.
19:14And Jimmy Butler travels.
19:16Well, just ask Boston and Cleveland what 20-point leads mean in this league right now.
19:32That is the 11th Golden State turnover, the second of the half.
19:38Nine turnovers for Minnesota.
19:41Four in this half after only five in the first half.
19:44Connelly will go to the bench.
19:45DiVincenzo on the floor.
19:47Nas Reed, the other shooter.
19:48And he knocks in a three-pointer.
19:50That was a big one for the Minnesota Timberwolves just to calm the waters here.
19:56Nas Reed, one of the few that shot it well from beyond the arc in game one.
20:01He made four threes.
20:04Kojemski drives.
20:05Kaminga, three-pointer.
20:08Good!
20:10Warriors not going away here.
20:12Jonathan Kaminga, 17 points on eight-foot feet from the floor.
20:18The only thing he's missed is two free throws.
20:20He's had some monster scoring games this season.
20:24There's DiVincenzo in the corner.
20:26And Rambo set him up nicely.
20:28Nice quick pass.
20:30DiVincenzo has that quick release.
20:33And he hits his third three of the night.
20:35Wow, I tell you what, if they could get back Dante DiVincenzo to what he normally does as a shooter,
20:45it would mean a lot for the playoff hopes of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
20:50Green missed it.
20:51And Edwards picks it off the rim for the rebound.
20:54Now the Wolves, up ten, can add to it.
21:00There's McDaniels.
21:01Cut off.
21:02Takes a tough shot.
21:04And Kojemski with the board.
21:07Again, the Warriors can get it back to single digits.
21:09As we approach the five-minute mark, but Jemski taking on Edwards, and he turns it over.
21:13He got stuck.
21:15McDaniels.
21:17McDaniels brings it in.
21:19Bad turnover leads to a bucket on the other end.
21:24Minnesota up 12, got their fans back into it.
21:31You're watching the 2025 NBA Playoffs, presented by Google.
21:39Let's see who's enjoying the limelight, presented by Corona.
21:42Great start to these playoffs by Minnesota.
21:45And then they ran into some hard times shooting the basketball from beyond the arc in those five games,
21:51and especially the last two games.
21:53But tonight, more normal for a team that shot it very well in the regular season from beyond the arc.
21:59Absolutely.
22:00And it's very important to the Timberwolves.
22:02Fifth in the league in three-pointers made during the regular season.
22:06Fourth in three-point percentage.
22:08In these last five games, it's just been a struggle.
22:14Warriors had cut it to seven, and now down 12.
22:18This is an 8-3 Minnesota run.
22:20Late clock.
22:21Butler, tough shot.
22:23Front iron.
22:24Edwards secures it.
22:27And Minnesota can add to their lead.
22:30Had Spencer back on the floor.
22:32Steve Kerr has played 13 players.
22:34Devin Chinza left open.
22:35And Spencer and Reed.
22:39Reed hits the floor, and it's going to be a foul on Spencer.
22:46Great effort.
22:48And Spencer's going to get hit with a foul.
22:53Yeah, I don't know about that.
22:58That's a non-call.
23:02Two hands on the back.
23:05And Tyler Ford calls the foul and gives the ball back to Minnesota.
23:12Devin Chinza.
23:13And now Edwards.
23:16Pulled by.
23:17Edwards drives.
23:18And a foul as Edwards gets to the basket.
23:22Will go to the line once again.
23:24He's frustrated, though.
23:25He cannot get those layups to go.
23:27Now, that was contested and a foul, but he's missed a lot in there.
23:30Yeah, but that's still normally a shot that Anthony Edwards will finish, even with that little bit of contact.
23:37We remind you tonight, the NBA on TNT is brought to you by Hyundai Customer Assurance.
23:51Putting people first when affordability matters most.
23:54It's great to see Anthony Edwards back on the floor after that ankle injury.
24:00Missed it.
24:00Rebound.
24:02And Devin Chinza can't get the bounce.
24:05Jimmy Butler secures it this time.
24:07Two good looks at it for the Wolves.
24:12Minnesota up 13.
24:14And they were up 13 quickly to start this game.
24:17Dante Devin Chinza grabs Jimmy Butler.
24:21And a Minnesota foul.
24:23Well, just a great job there by Jimmy Butler.
24:28Devin Chinza's guarding him.
24:30He knows the Wolves want to switch.
24:32He just seals his own man.
24:34Keeps Devin Chinza from switching.
24:37And Devin Chinza grabs him for the foul.
24:40Next one by the Wolves will put the Warriors at the line.
24:46McDaniels picks up Jimmy Butler.
24:50Jackson Davis.
24:51And now Moody.
24:52Late clock here.
24:52Down to two.
24:53Moody's got to put up a three.
24:54Does so.
24:55And it's an air ball.
24:56McDaniels might have got a piece of that.
24:58And McDaniels runs the floor.
24:59And hammers it down.
25:02What a player.
25:03McDaniels having a night.
25:04Jaden McDaniels getting it done at both ends.
25:098-0 Minnesota run after the Warriors got it within seven.
25:16And Devin Chinza able to deflect that one.
25:21Another late clock scenario here for Golden State.
25:24Down to two.
25:25Moody's got to let it go again.
25:26Moody's got to let it go again.
25:27And no chance with Edwards on him.
25:30Minnesota standing tall defensively.
25:33I believe that is their eighth.
25:3624-second violation of the two games.
25:41Five in game one.
25:42Three tonight.
25:43McDaniels great defense and then runs out.
25:46Great to see a guy whose defense started that play getting rewarded at the other end.
25:55The burst by Minnesota.
25:58Just as the Warriors were tightening the screws in this game.
26:02Randall.
26:03Flurry of moves.
26:04Alexander Walker with the flyby.
26:06Resets.
26:07Half a three.
26:08McDaniel Alexander Walker has found his stroke again.
26:12His second main three.
26:13Well it's great to see for them the bench having seven threes made already tonight.
26:20And that is the 13th Warrior turnover.
26:23And look.
26:25Lauren mentioned it earlier.
26:26Without Steph Curry.
26:28If you're the Warriors you don't have very much margin for error.
26:31You cannot be affording to turn the ball over 13, 14 times now in the game.
26:39Five turnovers in the corner for the Warriors.
26:43Spencer trying to guard Randall and fires one to the hot hand.
26:48No good that time.
26:49By Alexander Walker.
26:51Great screen by Devin Chinza.
26:54Warriors searching for a bucket here.
26:57Almost four minutes without one.
26:58Jackson Davis lowers the boom and then a bad pass off of Gary Payne.
27:04Looks like Jackson Davis was deep.
27:05Had a chance to score that.
27:06Absolutely Brian.
27:08That one he's got to shoot.
27:10The jump hook there with his strong hand.
27:13He's not going to get any closer to the basket.
27:15He's got size on Julius Randall.
27:18That was just a make or miss and it turns into a turnover.
27:22Alexander Walker can't get that one to go.
27:24Bothered by Jackson Davis.
27:28Wolves burst back to an 18 point lead.
27:31After it was down to seven.
27:34Under two minutes to go in the third quarter of game two.
27:37Warriors lead 1-0 in this series.
27:39Kaminga no good.
27:40Jackson Davis with the offensive board and a putback.
27:44Kaminga's first miss and Jackson Davis is right there.
27:49Defender sealed on his back.
27:51Great position.
27:52That's what he does best.
27:53The eye contact set it up beautifully.
28:02Lead is back to 18.
28:04Oh wow.
28:06Jackson Davis pulls that one down from the Raptors.
28:11What a finish.
28:15Three pointer.
28:17No good.
28:18Randall on the miss.
28:21Jackson Davis and Kaminga.
28:23Both making impacts.
28:24That's 11 points and six rebounds.
28:28For Trace Jackson Davis in 14 minutes and he hasn't missed a shot.
28:33Steven Chinzo with the foul.
28:34It's the second lob we've seen him catch tonight.
28:39And now Kaminga at the line missed his first two tonight.
28:43Warriors in the bonus.
28:45And Kaminga will shoot.
28:47One of the 13 players who are long minutes in this playoff game tonight.
28:55Let's take a look at our FanDuel live point spread for tonight's game.
28:58With no Stephen Curry.
29:01Ten and a half to start the game.
29:03It is a balloon to 16 and a half.
29:05You could understand that line of thinking.
29:08Warriors got it within seven on a surge.
29:11To start this third quarter.
29:13Had it down to seven on that Buddy Heal three.
29:20Minnesota responding well after that timeout.
29:23Jonathan Kaminga one out of two.
29:25Gives him 18 points.
29:27He has tied a playoff career high for points in a game.
29:3150 seconds to go.
29:34Randle backing down Jackson Davis.
29:36Randle fires Alexander Walker to DiVincenzo.
29:40And DiVincenzo looking for help.
29:41Ball is loose.
29:42Randle secures it and scores it.
29:45Strong inside.
29:47Julius Randle.
29:48That's his first bucket of the second half.
29:50That's 16 at the half.
29:52Now 18.
29:53And the Warriors throw it away again.
29:56Another turnover.
29:58Alexander Walker.
29:59Got it.
30:0016 Warrior turnovers.
30:08Leading to 18 Minnesota points.
30:12And it's an 18-5 run.
30:14And that's going to be a foul.
30:18But here's what happens in a game without Steph Curry.
30:22Everybody has to play a different role than what they're used to playing.
30:26Especially with Jimmy Butler on the bench.
30:28The only real shot creator that they have.
30:31So now all of these other guys are trying to make plays that they don't normally have to make.
30:38And that's going to lead to a lot of mistakes.
30:39Coach, we talked about the window opening once again for the Warriors with the acquisition of Jimmy Butler.
30:48As you see Braxton Key enter the game and that window has been discussed heavily because the chance now there's a spirit was lifted when Butler was acquired.
31:02But the Warriors now without Curry as Jackson Davis goes in strong with the jam.
31:08Now you just wonder how that burden is reflecting on these players trying to at least win a game.
31:15And stall as long as they can to get Curry back as Brandon drives and scores.
31:20Back to a 20-point lead.
31:22That'll take us to the end of the third quarter.
31:26Minnesota trying to level this series at one apiece.
31:30Just as the Warriors had a comeback.
31:33Minnesota surges to a 20-point lead.
31:36And you're watching the second round.
31:38Presented by Wingstop.
31:41Presented by PayPal.
31:43How about Jaden McDaniel stand?
31:45Getting it done.
31:45Doing a little bit of everything.
31:47You see the dunk.
31:49A blocked shot.
31:50A steal.
31:51Another little bit of a block.
31:53And then a run out.
31:55He dunks it.
31:56And Lauren Jabara got a chance to talk with Wolves head coach Chris Venns.
32:02Coach, you told us before the game you want to bring the energy.
32:04Be better in transition.
32:05What do you think here through three quarters so far?
32:08Well, we have been better energy for sure.
32:10And we've turned it into some buckets in transition.
32:13I liked our start.
32:14Our start to the second half wasn't as good as the start to the game.
32:17But we corrected.
32:18The end of that third quarter, you guys went on a 20-5 run.
32:21What worked well?
32:22How do you want to continue that in the fourth?
32:23Well, we turned it over a bunch in the early part of the quarter.
32:26And we had to get under control.
32:29And then we played great defense.
32:31Awesome, Coach.
32:31Appreciate it.
32:32Chris Venns done a great job here in Minnesota.
32:35Took him to the Western Conference Finals a year ago.
32:38Got him into the second round once again.
32:40And Draymond Green able to deny that potential lob.
32:45Now, that deficit was cut to seven, just under six minutes left in the third.
32:49And the Wolves, as Lauren mentioned, went on that burst to finish the quarter.
32:55And they're up by 20 as we open up play in the fourth.
32:59Well, and Steve Kerr going with the same five guys he started the second half with.
33:04I think he'll give it a few minutes, see if the Warriors can make a run.
33:08And if they can't, they will live to fight another day.
33:11Now, reset for game three, which will be at Chase Center in San Francisco on Saturday.
33:17That'll be Saturday night.
33:19Draymond Green inside and puts it in.
33:22Great job by Pujemski giving Draymond Green time to seal inside against DiVincenzo.
33:28There was no pressure on the ball whatsoever, and he was able to throw that pass from his waist.
33:34Nas Reed misses a three.
33:37Kaminga up ahead.
33:37Jimmy Butler running with DiVincenzo, looking for help.
33:42Not sure why Jimmy Butler doesn't try to score that.
33:47Draymond Green for three.
33:49Comes up short, and it'll be Minnesota ball.
33:52Again, there aren't many playoff games where you're thinking about the next game this early in the stages,
34:00but to your point, Stan, the travel, the every-other-day rhythm of the Warriors
34:05grinding through a tough seven-game series with the Rockets.
34:09I think Steve Kerr is fully aware.
34:12Hammers one down.
34:14Fully aware at some point.
34:15If they can't climb back into a striking number,
34:18they're going to have to punt and get ready for game three.
34:22Butler inside is fouled.
34:25That's a great catch.
34:26Good look by Draymond Green, and then ball had to go through Rudy Gobert,
34:31and for Butler to focus and make that catch.
34:36Excellent job.
34:41That's four on Rudy Gobert.
34:45He'll put Jimmy Butler at the line for a pair.
34:47Jimmy Butler tonight, 14 points, six rebounds, has three assists.
34:57Turned it over a couple of times, and he misses the free throw, and that's his second miss.
35:02NBA playoff schedule coming up tomorrow.
35:08Doubleheader, Cavs, Pacers, Thunder, Nuggets as they switch venues in the East.
35:13That'll be on ESPN.
35:15ABC has the doubleheader Saturday with Celtics and Knicks from Madison Square Garden,
35:20and then the Wolves and the Warriors from San Francisco.
35:23Nas Reid gets a step on Butler, and Alexander Walker now drives, hangs, finds Reid.
35:36Reid got it in the corner.
35:38Great ball movement.
35:39Nice setup by Nikhil Alexander-Walker.
35:41Warriors go quick after the main basket, and the Wolves get back.
35:50Kaminga passed up a three.
35:52Great closeout by Anthony Edwards.
35:54He did a great job staying on the floor.
35:57And Kaminga misses a three that time, an open look.
36:01All three bench guys from Minnesota have made three threes tonight.
36:07Edwards tripped on his way to the basket.
36:10Had that ankle injury late in the second quarter.
36:19Questionable to return, but he has come back, and he's looked good.
36:23Looks like the ankle is okay.
36:25That's the benefit of being 23 years of age and strong like a bull.
36:30Alexander Walker again.
36:39Now DiVincenzo.
36:40How about that catch and shoot?
36:41But an air ball.
36:42Maybe too quick.
36:44He had a crowd around him.
36:46Green driving on Gobert, and gets the roll.
36:49Wow.
36:49That's a great coast-to-coast drive,
36:52and a tough finish over a four-time defensive player of the year.
36:56Gobert is sitting on those four fouls.
37:00Edwards behind the back.
37:02Puts to his left hand.
37:03Edwards puts it in.
37:04He needed that.
37:06He's missed a lot of point-blank layups.
37:09That was a tougher chance, but able to score it.
37:12Yeah, look.
37:12But he's also only made two jump shots over the last two games.
37:17Buddy healed for three.
37:31Good.
37:32Healed hits another one.
37:34Chris Finch upset with that.
37:35If you're Anthony Edwards, who's a great defender, by the way,
37:38you can't try to shoot the gap on that screen down,
37:41not against a shooter like Healed.
37:43You've got to stay attached to his body,
37:44chasing him, almost forcing him to curl into the paint.
37:48And now Healed with a steal.
37:50And a foot race, he's going to back it up.
37:51He's going to fire a three in transition.
37:53No.
37:54Pajemski is there with a follow.
37:56Here come the Warriors once again.
38:01Pajemski's got six.
38:02His fourth rebound.
38:058-0 Golden State run.
38:08Four minutes into this fourth quarter.
38:11Edwards.
38:13And he's fouled.
38:14Heal picks up the foul.
38:23Going to be side out, according to Tyler Ford.
38:26Anthony Edwards upset about that.
38:27He thought it was a shooting foul.
38:30And McDaniels is back on the floor now.
38:33Gobert and DiVincenzo will sit.
38:36McDaniels and Randle back in for Minnesota.
38:40Steve Kerr is going to counter with Trace Jackson Davis.
38:44Green a breather.
38:48Steve Kerr told us before the game that he did not want to overplay Green and Butler in particular.
38:55Chairman Green 29 minutes.
38:57Butler's played 30 minutes.
38:59And Alexander Walker lays it in.
39:02Not sure that Trace Jackson Davis is aware that McDaniel Alexander Walker would much rather go to his left hand.
39:12He's been on him twice.
39:14And both times it seems to me like he's actually forcing him to his left hand.
39:18Butler wide open spaces inside.
39:21Two-handed jam for Jimmy Butler.
39:24He's got 17 now.
39:2617 and 7.
39:28And Butler's chipped in with four assists as well.
39:31Three-pointer no good.
39:33McDaniels runs down the rebound.
39:34And a foul as Edwards is on the take.
39:43He's got free throws coming.
39:46But again, it's just, it's got to be frustrating for Anthony Edwards.
39:51These are shots he normally finishes.
39:53This would normally be a three-point play opportunity for Anthony Edwards.
39:58It looks like they're going to challenge this.
40:03Well, Steve Kerr has one to use.
40:06They're going to challenge it.
40:07And they're going to give it a try here.
40:08With Davis, the call on the floor is a foul.
40:11And two free throws.
40:12Steve Kerr is going to light the lamp.
40:18Google search trends.
40:20Top searches in the NBA tonight.
40:21Anthony Edwards and Stephen Curry.
40:24Curry out for at least a week.
40:26Will be re-evaluated next week with that hamstring injury.
40:29Edwards left this game in the second quarter with an ankle injury.
40:32Has played in his regular rotation in the second half.
40:36They challenged the call.
40:39And it was unsuccessful.
40:41And Tony Brothers' explanation on the hot mic was that Trace Jackson Davis
40:47rode Edwards out of the play.
40:50And so unsuccessful.
40:51And the Warriors have no more challenges remaining.
40:55Look, by the letter of the law, yes.
40:58They probably deserve to be an unsuccessful challenge.
41:02By what I've seen in the 2025 playoffs, that's not a foul.
41:06Yeah, I'm with you.
41:07There's been a lot more physical than that.
41:09But Edwards does hit the free throws.
41:11And Minnesota leads it by 19.
41:15Wolves try to even up this series as they go to San Francisco Saturday.
41:19And a win tonight by Minnesota if they hang on here.
41:23It'll guarantee at least a game five right back here at Target Center next Wednesday.
41:28And we'll have it for you right here on TNT.
41:32Kajemski, quick release on the three, and he finally hits one.
41:35He needed that.
41:36He was 0 for 3 from three-point range before that made basket.
41:41They still, they need a more aggressive Jimmy Butler.
41:43He's driving the ball laterally across the lane, looking to pass.
41:47They need Jimmy Butler to look to score and then to pass if he draws two balls.
41:51Anthony Edwards delivers his second made three.
41:57Well, they need to get him going if they're going to go far in the playoffs.
42:02He had a great start.
42:03But then in these last two-and-a-half-plus games, he has really struggled.
42:09Only 19 for 53 from the floor and three for 20 from three.
42:17And this is the guy who led the NBA in three-pointers made this year.
42:22And a workhorse to get to that number.
42:25Played in 79 games and he was one of the emerging stars in this league.
42:30Went to a conference finals a year ago.
42:33He was a gold medalist at the Olympics.
42:35Team USA coached by Curse as DiVincenzo comes from behind the block.
42:40Jackson Davis.
42:41And then free throws here for Trace Jackson Davis.
42:49Lauren Jabara, that Olympic experience for Anthony Edwards.
42:53Paid dividends both from Chris Finch's perspective and Anthony Edwards' perspective.
42:59It's true.
42:59Some of the vets have incredible things to say about Anthony Edwards after that gold medal run.
43:04Steph said yesterday morning that Ant was the life of the party.
43:07From his world champ experience the summer before to being with Steve to being with us,
43:11he said he brought great energy every day in practice and in games.
43:14He said that youthfulness and that confidence, there was never a dull moment.
43:17And LeBron James also described Edwards as the best thing about our team,
43:21highlighting his competitive spirit.
43:23And also Chris Finch telling us, guys, that he really thinks he learned a lot,
43:27Ant did, from being around guys like LeBron, like Steph, about routine,
43:31how to take care of your body.
43:32And he's seen his leadership grow this year as well.
43:35I thought the most interesting thing, Lauren, about that was the notion,
43:39you'll have to dissect this for us, but his ability to watch those guys
43:45and how they shared the basketball, he is the star of this Minnesota team,
43:50the guy you build a franchise around, the fates of the franchise,
43:54but the high volume can take his teammates out of games at times,
43:59and he's better at that this year.
44:00Well, and he's going to always draw a second defender to the ball,
44:04whether it's help or a double team,
44:06that's where he's got to make the right play.
44:10Warriors take timeout, down 82-99.
44:14Coach Chris Finch has passed Flip Saunders for the best winning percentage in franchise history.
44:21They had a great run, late 90s, early 2000s here, under Flip Saunders.
44:27Kind of feels like they're in a golden era right now of Wolves basketball.
44:31They had five playoff series wins in franchise history.
44:35Three of those, Stan, have come in the last two years,
44:39and if they win this series, it'll be back-to-back conference finals.
44:42Yeah, this team has already surpassed the Garnett years in terms of playoff series one.
44:50Four consecutive playoffs for the Wolves.
44:54And that's going to be a loose ball foul on Jackson Davis and Minnesota ball.
45:01And now we wonder how long Steve Kerr is going to stick with Butler and Pujemski.
45:07There you go, the five playoff series wins, three of those coming in the last two years.
45:14In those Flip Saunders years, they went to seven straight playoffs,
45:17but they had six consecutive first-round exits before they made it to the conference finals in 2004.
45:27And as beloved as he was, Flip Saunders here,
45:32this Warriors team built around one of the game's great stars.
45:37Looks like they are poised to be a regular contender.
45:41Colbert looked like he's having some trouble.
45:43He took that rebound off the head earlier tonight and has never really been the same.
45:50There's the late Flip Saunders,
45:53that banner that hangs in the rafters.
45:57One of the most light and highly respected coaches in this league.
46:04And there's your answer for Steve Kerr.
46:07Four guys getting up.
46:09And we're going to take the last five minutes off.
46:13Jimmy Butler, Buddy Heald, Brandon Pujemski.
46:16Got to put Butler around 33, 34 minutes.
46:19Pujemski, 33 minutes.
46:22And Buddy Heald knocks in one last three-pointer.
46:2615 for Buddy Heald, who has found his shooting stroke the last three games.
46:31You are kidding.
46:32Had that monster game seven in Houston, scored 33 points,
46:36made nine threes in that game.
46:38Well, he's now made 18 in the last three games.
46:42An incredible run.
46:46Minnesota came out and handled business tonight.
46:52First step in Curry for at least a week.
46:55And now the Warriors will try to do all they can on their home turf.
47:03He puts a pressure on the wall.
47:05There's Anthony Edwards' strong finish looking for the foul.
47:10Anthony Edwards is acting like he doesn't know we're in the playoffs
47:13with the fouls he's expecting to get.
47:16Those are all soft contact.
47:19Julius Randle and ahead of the pass.
47:21Steve Kerr calls the timeout.
47:23And the white flag is up.
47:26Warriors will surrender as the Wolves go up 21.
47:31And they're going to even up this best of seven series
47:34at one apiece.
47:38Buxton of the Minnesota Twins playing dad and spectator tonight.
47:432025 MLB season is underway.
47:46TBS has you covered all season long.
47:48Red Sox Tigers.
47:50May 13th.
47:526.30 Eastern.
47:53Next Tuesday on TBS and Max.
47:55And we're looking forward to the baseball season on TBS the rest of the year.
48:01Just point out that the Detroit Tigers have the best record in the American League.
48:06Nice.
48:07Finishing off a sweep of the hapless Colorado Rockies today.
48:11With a doubleheader that the Twins won today by the way.
48:16Beat the Orioles 5-2.
48:18Orioles probably the most disappointing team in Major League Baseball right now.
48:24Coming off a couple of playoff seasons and just haven't been able to get it going at all.
48:29Well, the TBS has the National League this year in the playoff stand as Alexander Walker hits a three.
48:37Do you want to put your predictions out there?
48:39Who are we going to see in the NLCS this year on TBS?
48:44Well, you know what?
48:45I think it's going to be two teams out of the same division.
48:48I mean, you know, I never know how the standings are going to break down.
48:51But I would say the two best teams are the Dodgers and the Potts.
48:59The Mets, though.
49:01The Mets could get going.
49:03I mean, no, they're good.
49:04I mean, that's a legit team.
49:07And then I'll...
49:08How long do we have to go before you mention the Brewers?
49:11No, that's not happening, B.A.
49:12I'm sorry.
49:13I'm really sorry.
49:14Yeah.
49:15Really sorry.
49:16It's going to surprise you again.
49:17So, the bench empties for Chris Finch as well.
49:20Great hand as the starters exit.
49:24And the final 3-10 in game two.
49:33Wolves tonight, they jumped out to a 13-0 lead right out of the gates.
49:39And dominated that first quarter.
49:40The Warriors did get it within seven in the third.
49:43Anthony Edwards all smiles now.
49:45That's a great sign.
49:46Anthony left this game in the second with an ankle injury.
49:49Came back.
49:50Played in his normal rotation in the second half.
49:53And he and Randall were excellent tonight.
49:54Randall 24, Edwards with 20.
49:58As Alexander Walker gets a couple of bites at it.
50:01You got Alexander Walker, Shannon, Minot, Clark, and Miller on the floor for the Wolves
50:06with Moody, Spencer, Santos, Knox, and Key.
50:11And the end of the bench.
50:14Getting an opportunity to compete in a playoff game.
50:18Take advantage of it when you can.
50:19And I think the great thing for the Wolves tonight, great sign, is that Devin Chimzo, Alexander Walker, Nas Reed all knocking down shots.
50:29They need those guys going.
50:31They rely on them for their offense coming off the bench.
50:35It was Key.
50:36Nice little hesitation in the bucket.
50:40The Minnesota three-point shooting was abysmal in this stretch here.
50:46Shot it at a good rate during the year.
50:50Top five three-point shooting teams.
50:51Just couldn't buy one from three-point range after that first game in L.A.
50:55and appears that they have found a little something tonight.
50:59They shot it at a 43% clip from three-point range tonight.
51:05They made 16 threes in the game.
51:07Hard to imagine a team like the Wolves would miss 16 straight three-pointers in game one Tuesday.
51:16But that was their drought.
51:19And the best news for Minnesota is Anthony Edwards' ankle injury.
51:24And it proved not to be serious.
51:28He looked normal coming back in that second half.
51:31Well, quite honestly, if you're the Minnesota Timberwolves, and if you're a fan of the Timberwolves,
51:36you've got to look at this as a must-win series.
51:39You're going to get to play a minimum of three-and-a-half games against the Warriors without Steph Curry.
51:45Missed the entire second half the other night.
51:48You couldn't do anything with that.
51:49And now you're going to play game two, three, and four at least without Steph Curry.
51:54You've got to win this series.
51:56That's at least half the series without Steph Curry.
52:00It's happened before, but it has not happened in a while.
52:04Got to go back seven years to find the last time Curry was out.
52:09Moody misses.
52:10Matter of fact, the Warriors night and three without Curry in the playoffs.
52:14They had some depth on their teams in those years.
52:19Back in 18, he missed six games with the MCL sprain.
52:22He had the six games missed in 2016.
52:26But that's back like 2018.
52:28You've got Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson in his prime.
52:32You've got enough offense to get by, and the Warriors' defense has always been elite.
52:38He leaked.
52:40Jalen Clark had a very difficult possession there, to say the least.
52:45He's not letting up at all.
52:47And neither is Shannon.
52:49Shannon, a breakaway, and he scores.
52:53I love Terrence Shannon in Illinois.
52:55I'm convinced this guy's going to be a good NBA player.
52:59Got a great run in the Big Ten to the Illini.
53:02Terrence Shannon, the rookie, a couple of years at Illinois, making his fifth appearance in the playoffs here.
53:12You get a chance to get some minutes.
53:15He'll be a guy who fights his way into a rotation.
53:19He's going to pop once he learns the intricacies of the NBA.
53:23Chris Finch has had a lot of good things to say about him during the season when we've talked before games with him.
53:33It's just Chris Finch has settled into a very good, very stable eight-man rotation.
53:39They've been healthy.
53:41And so coming down these last 21 games and into the playoffs, they haven't had to go any deeper than that.
53:48But a minor with an acrobatic finish.
53:50Gets himself a highlight here in a playoff game.
53:53Wolves had that great surge after Randall came back, really since March 1st.
54:02They were 21-5 on a terrific run to get out of the play-in window and get into the playoffs.
54:09And then they took care of the Lakers quickly in five games.
54:16Played well on the road as well.
54:19Remember, Lakers had home court advantage as a three-seed in that series.
54:22And that did not faze the Wolves.
54:27Shannon going to work here.
54:30The lefty missed it.
54:31There's Miller.
54:31And that'll be a shot clock violation.
54:36And it doesn't matter much at this time in the game, but Terrence Shannon simply dribbling the ball for the entire possession is not something that's going to make his coaching staff have great confidence in him.
54:50See Luka Garza on the floor as well, speaking of the Big Ten.
54:53One of the all-time greats for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
54:58Getting some minutes here at the end of this game.
55:09Forty seconds left.
55:12Ernie Johnson and crew standing by in Atlanta.
55:15Only one game tonight.
55:16Early night for those guys.
55:17Party at Chuck's house.
55:21Don't say that.
55:22There's always a party at Chuck's house.
55:24Thanks to our great crew here, led in the truck by producer Jeff Randolph, our director Matt Lipp.
55:31Our statistician here at the table, Tom Barbary.
55:35Adam Orfinger is our associate director.
55:38Doing great work in graphics.
55:39Justin Holloman, Carl Cronenberger, and all of our talented workhorses out there, our terrific camera operators, videotape.
55:54He's in the video room and appreciate our crew.
55:58Our window for playoff basketball on TNT is starting to wind down.
56:04Got some food on the line here.
56:06Not disappointing.
56:10Takes it away.
56:11Takes that joy away from him.
56:13Well, you and I will be back here for game five next Wednesday, which is now assured.
56:18Now we turn it over to ABC.
56:21And ESPN for the next two in San Francisco.
56:24We'll be back for game five.
56:26And we'll see where this series goes.
56:28Might have Stephen Curry.
56:29The Minnesota Timberwolves come back with an answer.
56:33And a response in game two.
56:35And they win it.
56:36117-93.
56:39Julius Randle leads the Wolves with 24 points.
56:44And just like the Thunder and the Nuggets, this one in the West is all even at one game apiece.
56:50The waiting game with Curry continues.
56:57Re-evaluated next week.
57:06Anthony Edwards, 20 points tonight.
57:09He made nine rebounds, had five assists.
57:12And I think you're safe to say it was his B game.
57:17He still hasn't had that A game just yet.
57:20You know it's coming, though.
57:21He's too talented.
57:22Well, you said it earlier, but the big thing is with Anthony Edwards, the injury wasn't as bad as they probably feared when they saw him down.
57:37Should have him back and healthy and ready to go in game three in San Francisco.
57:44Michael Irvin, getting a little ant time right now.
57:48Lauren Jabara is over there waiting.
57:49Got to get a picture in with the Hall of Famer.
57:53And Edwards has made his way to Lauren Jabara.
58:09Take it away, Lauren.
58:09Thanks so much, B.A.
58:12And did Michael have some words for you post-game there?
58:16Did Michael have some words for you?
58:18Yeah, that's OG, man.
58:19I met him before, man.
58:20Got a number of love for him for sure.
58:21I know you went down before we get into the game.
58:24You went down.
58:24I have to ask about your left ankle.
58:25How's it feeling?
58:26You came out.
58:26Looked like it wasn't bothering you at all.
58:28Feeling great.
58:29Yep, feeling great.
58:30Okay.
58:30You knew that you needed to jump and come into this one with a little more energy.
58:34The whole team did.
58:35How were you able to turn the mentality, turn the tables around, even this thing out?
58:38We watched film yesterday.
58:40We seen that it wasn't just we didn't make shots.
58:42It was more so our defensive pressure and intensity.
58:44We didn't bring it.
58:45So we knew we had to bring it today.
58:46Speaking of that defensive pressure and intensity, Julius Randall, he was three rebounds away from a triple-double.
58:51What has he meant to this team this season since he's been here?
58:54He means a lot, man.
58:56He's an alpha male, man.
58:57He stands out.
58:58And when he plays like that, we're hard to beat.
58:59Ant, this thing shifts.
59:00You guys are heading to the bay now.
59:02What's the mentality?
59:03You got two there?
59:05You know, go out there and try to win.
59:07That's the only mentality.
59:07That's all I know.
59:08That seems easy enough.
59:09I appreciate the time.
59:10Congrats on the win.
59:12All right.
59:12Anthony Edwards.
59:14And good that he's back on the floor and played in his regular rotation.
59:18That was a scary fall for Edwards and got stepped on.
59:22That left ankle was in a compromised position.
59:25That'll do it for us here in Minneapolis.
59:31We'll see you guys again.
59:34Game five here at Target Center next Wednesday.
59:37Thanks to our terrific crew.
59:39For Stan Van Gundy, Lauren Jabara, I'm Brian Anderson saying good night from the Twin Cities.
59:45You've been watching the NBA on TNT, exclusive home of the Eastern Conference Finals.
59:51Ernie Johnson and our gang in Atlanta, inside the NBA, presented by Kia, coming up next.
