00:00Has that been a very pleasing afternoon for you all?
00:04Very, very pleasing. Very pleasing results.
00:07Because, especially in the context of what we've been through,
00:10it's been a tough couple of months,
00:12because results have been not what we've wanted.
00:14The performances haven't been as bad,
00:18but you know what it's like if you don't get the results.
00:21You have to suffer in the Premier League,
00:23and that's what we've had to do.
00:24And credit to players, they've stuck together.
00:26Everybody at the club has been fantastic.
00:28There's a support, so it's nice for them to enjoy a day like today.
00:32Winning at Old Trafford, historically, isn't straightforward for West Ham.
00:37So, great for our supporters that they have a fantastic day like today.
00:41When you're finishing a season like this,
00:44which will be a disappointment,
00:46and your results will be disappointing since it's come,
00:49is it about giving the fans something to hold on to?
00:53Because they assume that you're already in the process of deciding
00:56what needs to change to make things better?
00:59Yeah, there's a few things.
01:00You have to finish the season as strongly as you can.
01:03Keep building on the performances that we feel have been good.
01:07Brighton away, we're three minutes away from winning,
01:10and we're loose.
01:11Liverpool away was a really strong performance,
01:14certainly in the second half.
01:16We're competitive in all the games.
01:19It's a team that has conceded a lot of goals.
01:22So, we've addressed that,
01:24and now it's about building the attacking side of the game.
01:27I thought the first goal especially was an indication of what we tried to do.
01:31So, it's a step in the right direction.
01:34It builds confidence, I think, and belief,
01:36and I think that's important for us,
01:38and important for everybody at the club, including the supporters.
01:40Did you start with Jarrod Bowie?
01:46Yeah, players that aren't happy to come off,
01:49and Jarrod put everything into the game,
01:51he scored, he's been amazing for us.
01:54But, you know, sometimes you have to make those decisions,
01:58and that's life.
02:00Craig, can I ask about Aaron Sack
02:03when he was at United,
02:04he seemed more of a defensive player.
02:06He was getting a lot more out of him going forward.
02:08How much have you come off?
02:10Yeah, I mean, he's been really impressive.
02:14I've said before, I can't say this categorically
02:18because I don't know Aaron's career,
02:20but I can't imagine he's playing as well as he is for us,
02:23at any point in his career.
02:25It looks like he's enjoying his football.
02:27He gives a lot to the team.
02:29I'm really pleased with him in terms of what he's given,
02:32defensively and offensively.
02:34As I said, it looks like he's enjoying his football,
02:36and that's not easy because the results we've had
02:38haven't been that enjoyable.
02:40But nevertheless, his individual performance has been strong.
02:43Have you had to do anything in particular with Aaron,
02:46to encourage him to get forward more?
02:48Is that a natural game that's just not been maybe shown
02:51in previous problems?
02:54Yeah, again, I don't know what's the pass,
02:57but his attributes are his attributes.
03:00He's got the capacity to go up and down the pitch
03:03at a high level, and he's got some qualities.
03:07He's played on the left, he's played on the right,
03:08he can do either.
03:09So, at the same time, defensively, he's really solid.
03:14So, as I said, his individual performance has been a strong point
03:19in a disappointing season.
03:22But he's been really good.
03:25Yeah, as I said, in any club, but especially in a club like West Ham,
03:42where the expectations are high, to have two months where the results
03:45haven't been positive for us.
03:46It's a long time to go.
03:47So, I think it's a credit to the players, how they've stuck together,
03:50how we've been connected, how we've tried to improve.
03:52I think we have improved.
03:54But it's difficult in football when you don't get the results,
03:57because that's what matters.
03:59So, we know that.
04:00And that's why it's really pleasing today to see a performance,
04:03to see aspects of the performance that I think has been there all the time.
04:07But to get three points makes everything a lot better.
04:10The outcome is what everybody focuses on.
04:12Greg, I was going to say, I mean, it wasn't just like you were good for 20 minutes.
04:17Are you surprised at just how much you dominated and controlled the game?
04:21Well, I didn't feel like we were in control of the duration, to be honest.
04:26When you've got Bugatti, Maynou, Fernandes and Mount in midfield,
04:31you know you're going to have to suffer at times.
04:33And we did that, we had to defend.
04:36But I think it was important for us, and even in the last bits of the game,
04:39it was important for us to have the ball and to try to make them run
04:42and to affect them defensively.
04:45Because if you just come to park the bus, it's difficult.
04:48You have to do something here, I think.
04:50And my record here is not bad.
04:53But you have to, as I said, you have to be, you have to have a game,
04:59an idea to be proactive, because Old Trafford's a place to come.
05:04OK.
05:05Thanks, everybody.
05:06Cheers.
05:07Francine.
05:10Thank you very much.
05:25Thank you very much.
05:31I'll see you next time.
