Her music is Country roots with a little twist. "Refreshing, Great and Different," are the most popular comments Kalsey gets when people listen to her music. With her first full band CD being recorded, Kalsey is busy with her team getting ready for her career launch.
At the age of 18 Kalsey had just finished a long, hard year. She was diagnosed with, fought and beat Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
When asked about what she had learned from her experience with the disease Kalsey always says with a smile, "I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to have another chance at life. I got to see life from many perspectives. Surviving this disease also taught me that I must always be happy doing what I love. What I love is singing
my songs for people and making them happy. Music is not just my love,
it's my life, so I have to do it!"
After Kalsey was in remission she decided to follow her passion.
She was put in touch with Richard Dashut (Producer of Fleetwood Mac),
through some family friends and the rest is history. Kalsey moved down to Las Vegas, NV where Dashut was living and started working with him. "Artist development is key," says Dashut, "And not many people, let alone record labels, are willing to put the time or effort into an artist that is needed to make a great artist. That's what I did with
Kalsey."
