Twitter has launched Moments, a new feature that showcases trending tweets in a picture slideshow format under a new tab represented by a lightning bolt.
Tapping on the lightning bolt tab on Twitter's mobile app on the users' phone opens a list of popular posts or Moments.
According to Twitter, Moments will be updated as new information or Tweets become available.
Users will get the option to follow Moments for stories that update very frequently - such as live sporting events or awards shows.
As per Twitter, most moments are assembled by its curation team, and some are contributed by partners like Bleacher Report, Buzzfeed, Entertainment Weekly, Fox News, Getty Images, Mashable, MLB, NASA, New York Times, Vogue and the Washington Post.
