Man drives to fast food restaurant for help after being shot multiple times in Lakewood, Washington

LAKEWOOD, WASHINGTON — A man was critically injured after he was shot multiple times in Lakewood, Washington on Thursday morning.
The shooting occurred in the 15100 block of Grant Avenue Southwest just after 10 a.m., when a gunman on the street opened fire at a man who was driving in the area, Komo News reported.
According to the News Tribune, the victim, after being shot multiple times, managed to drive to a fast food restaurant in a nearby street, where passersby noticed the bullet-riddled truck and alerted the authorities. The victim has been taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma where he remains in critical condition.
The shooter is described as a white, clean-shaven male with red hair and a crew cut. He reportedly tried to break into homes after the shooting, according to Komo News.
Lakewood police has identified Matthew Suhanec, a 22-year-old soldier who is missing from Joint Base Lewis-McChord as a person of interest in the shooting, Komo News reported.
Authorities deployed a SWAT team, K9 units as well as a Washington State Patrol plane in the search for the shooter. Investigators have not yet determined a motive behind the shooting.
