Technique
There are a group of isometric exercises as well as yoga poses which help to relax and relieve the neck pain. They help to give flexibility, strength and also aid in increasing the range of motion.
Isometric Exercise
These exercises help to strengthen the muscles of the neck and the back. The hand is provided a lot of resistance through these exercises. Do this in an erect position and tuck in the chin before you begin.
Extending the Neck
Place the palms at the base of your head and apply pressure in a forward direction. There is a lot of resistance that you would feel between the neck and the head.
Cervical spondylosis and neck exercises
Bend towards the side and sit erect with the head in a neutral position. Now you have to place the palms around the ear. Also apply a little pressure and feel the resistance with the head.
Bending on the side as a way of cure
Flex the neck and place the middle fingers and the index finger of both the left and the right hand and place it between the eyes. Apply a little backward pressure, and feel the resistance between the neck and the head.
Flexibility Exercises
These exercises help to relieve all kinds of stress and rigidity in the neck. Spasms and muscular pains are also relieved through such exercises.
Flexing the Neck
Sit erect and bend forward. Now touch the chin on the chest and hold this for five seconds. Repeat this ten times.
