Straight from the Royal kitchen, Galouti Kebab is a famous and well known Nawabshahi recipe. A very interesting and refreshing tweak to this recipe and presents to you the all new vegetarian Galouti Kebab.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup kidney beans soaked and boiled
1/4cup soya granules (boiled for 5 mins and squeeze out all the water)
1 onion grated
1 tsp garlic paste
1tsp ginger paste
3 tbsp roasted gramdal flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves powder
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp cumin seed powder
2tbsp cashew nut powder
1 tsp amchoor powder
3 green chillies
Coriander leaves
Ghee
Salt
Lime Juice
Method:
- Heat ghee in a pan and add grated onion.
- After a minute, add ginger and garlic paste.
- Allow the onion to cool down, once it is brown.
- In a bowl add kidney beans minced along with boiled soya granules.
- Add cloves powder, cumin seed powder, cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, red chilli powder, cashew nut powder, finely chopped green chillies, roasted gram flour, coriander leaves, salt and the onion mixture.
- Mix these ingredients well.
- In the end squeeze lime juice over the top.
- Make a small portion of the mix and make a flat round.
- Heat ghee in order to roast kebabs.
- Cook them on slow flame.
- Flip them, once they are golden brown. Add ghee and spread them after flipping.
- Nawabshahi Kebabs are ready to serve.
