Pav Bhaji Recipe -
Ingredients
2 Onion medium chopped
2 Tomato small chopped
2 Green chillies chopped
1/2 inch Ginger piece chopped
2-4 cloves Garlic roughly crushed
2 bay leaves
Dry chickpeas 1.5 cup boiled with 1 tea bag
1 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Ghee
Salt to taste
Chole masala
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
2 tsp Red chili powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Dried Anardana
1 tsp Amchur powder
1 tbsp Garam masala
Water as required
Coriander leaves, finely chopped
Method:
- In a pan add Dry chickpeas 1.5 cup boiled with 1 tea bag and water & salt and cook it for 45 minutes.
- In a pan add oil , ghee, bay leaves, Onion, Ginger piece , slit chillies, garlic and mix it well
- Add tomatoes and add the dry masalas - Turmeric powder , Amchur powder, Cumin powder, Red chili powder, Coriander powder, Garam masala, salt & Dried Anardana
- Add the chanas to the masala and water and cook it for 8-10 minutes
- Mash few of the chickpeas for consitency
- Amritsari Chole masala is ready to be served!
