Recipe to prepare tasty "Guava Masala":
Ingredients:
200 gms guava, peeled, deseeded and finely chopped
1 tbsp refined oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
4-5 curry leaves
2 green chillies, chopped
1 bulblet onion, finely chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
salt to taste
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 pinch blackpepper powder
1/2 bowl water
Method:
Heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds, and let them crackle.
Add curry leaves, and saute.
Add green chillies, and mix.
Add onion; stir and toss, saute until pink.
Add garlic, and saute well.
Add tomato, and toss well.
Add salt, and mix well.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well.
Add coriander powder, and mix it.
Add guava, and mix it well.
Add little salt and blackpepper powder; toss well.
Stir and let guava cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add water, and stir properly.
Cover the pan, and let it cook for 1 minute.
Uncover the pan, and mix it once.
Put off the flame, and Guava Masala is ready to serve.
