Mutton ka salan or shorba gosht or mutton curry is a traditional way of cooking mutton with a gravy. It is simple to cook because you don't have to add things one after the other. For the beginners or people who lives alone and have less time, this is the simple method. And believe me it is much tastier because mutton gets cooked with all the masala from the beginning. In olden times ladies use to cook in this way.
Ingredients
Goat meat.........................................250 grams.
Onion paste......................................2 medium.
Ginger and garlic paste....................2 tsp.
Tomato paste...................................1 tomato(medium).
Whole garam masala paste............1 tsp.
Coconut powder...............................1 tsp.
Red chilli powder..............................3 tsp.
Coriander powder.............................2 tsp.
Salt...................................................to taste.
Oil......................................................2 large spoon.
Whole garam masala...................... Bay leaf 1, cardamom 6, few peppers, few cloves - 1/8 nutmeg, few strands of mace.
Method
1) Take a large bowl, put washed mutton.
2) Add onion paste, ginger & garlic paste, coriander powder, add chilli powder, salt and make a mixture of coconut powder , nutmeg , mace and green cardamom and garam masala paste add to the
mutton.
3) Add tomato paste and leave it for marination at least 40 Min.
4) Take cooker add oil, put khada masala and fry, add the mutton and cook for 5 Min.
5) Add two glasses of water in small amount. Adjust water according to need. Close the lid cook it for 15-20 Min.
6) Open the lid and cook for 15 Min on slow flame. Garnish with coriander leaves & eat it with do purat ki roti
