As festive season is just around the corner, learn how to make Sheera. Sheera is also popularly known as Halwa. Sheera is a sweet vegetarian dessert recipe made of Rawa (semolina/suji). Sheera is also served as a holy offering (Prasad) in India.

Ingredients :

1 Cup Rawa (semolina/suji)(బొంబాయి రవ్వ )
1 Cup Ghee (నెయ్యి )
1 Cup Sugar (పంచదార)
2 Cups Milk (పాలు )
Dry Fruits (Almonds, Cashews & Raisins) ( బాదం పప్పు ,జీడిపప్పు,ఎండుద్రాక్ష )
1 tsp Elaichi Powder (యాలుకల పొడి )
Method:

- In a pan, add ghee and let it melt completely.
- Once the ghee melts, add rawa and mix well. Roast the rawa in the ghee till it becomes golden brown.
- In the meanwhile, boil the milk.
- Add dry fruits to the rawa and mix well.
- Add boiling milk to the rawa in batches and mix well.
- Add sugar and again mix well.
- Cover it with a lid and let the sheera cook for 5 mins.
- Add elaichi powder and mix well.
- Sheera is ready to be served.
