From Mexico: Maria Ines Ochoa ( la Rumorosa )

Mexico has a wide traditional music and we have talked about it and heard some of it on this program but it has also a very vibrant contemporary music scene. New groups are combining traditional elements with new sounds to get something that is original but at the same time, distinctively mexican. María Inés Ochoa "la Rumorosa" embodies this mix. The daughter of the legendary singer and songwriter Amparo Ochoa, she mixes the experimental with the traditional, all grounded by one of Mexico's beautiful voices.
