Bored of eating the same old sabudana khichdi on fasting days? Try this मखाने की खीर - Makhana Kheer, it is an ideal fasting recipe made using few ingredients. It has the goodness of milk, makhana and dry fruits. Do give it a try this Navratri and share your feedback in the comments below.

Ingredients:
2 tsp - Ghee
2 cups - Makhana
1 ltr - Milk, boiled
Pistachios, chopped
Almonds, soaked & chopped
Raisins
1/2 cup Sugar
Almond powder
Saffron, soaked

Method of preparation:
Heat ghee in a pan, add makhana and roast it on low flame.
Add milk, keep stirring and give it a boil.
Coo it on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
Add pistachios, almonds, raisins and mix well.
Add sugar, almond powder, saffron and mix well.
Our Navratri Special Makhana Kheer is ready to serve.
