Voting for Andhra Pradesh by-polls underway - NewsX

Its Jagan Mohan Reddy's day of reckoning as the crucial by-polls to the 18 assembly seats and 1 Lok Sabha seat are underway in Andhra Pradesh today. It's a show of strength for the YSR Congress chief who is still incarcerated after being arrested by the CBI over a disproportionate assets case. For the Congress, it's an acid test as it seeks to survive the pro-Jagan sympathy wave which is sweeping the state as well as defend charges of witch-hunting Jagan, and for the principal opposition, the TDP, who seeks to be the biggest gainer from the ruling party's woes.
