MANILA, Philippines – Far Eastern University (FEU) completed a football double in UAAP Season 76 after winning both the men’s and women’s championships on Sunday. The men’s team won 1-0 at the expense of the University of the Philippines. The Tamaraws struggled early, but were rewarded with the only goal they needed when Jess Mellizza drilled in a spectacular header in the 72nd minute. Paolo Bugas was named the men’s most valuable player. It was FEU’s first men’s football title since Season 72. Meanwhile, the FEU women’s team repeated as champions with a 2-0 victory over the University of Santo Tomas. Sharmine Sioatong opened the scoring in the 19th minute, and Alesa Dolino sealed the deal with another goal in the 57th.
