Reeves Deadlift 302lb

1x251lb, 1x291lb, 1x302lb
These are traditionally done with YORK Deep Dish 45lb plates. I went with the much thicker and therefore harder on the hands YORK Deep Dish 75lb plates. This is not only good grip work but it teaches you leg drive by requiring the legs to push the weight off the floor. You want reduce the force on the hands as much as possible. The ONLY way you're going to do so is by trying to lift as much of the weight as possible with the legs. Pro Tip: you squeeze the PECS like hell. You are actually pulling the hands in with the Pecs. You are NOT trying to pull the weight up with the hands. Notice when I start that l sink the hips down, lock the back, pull the hands in and let the legs do the lifting. I am trying to minimize upper body movement. Try this out, it was a favorite of Bodybuilder Steve Reeves, STILL one of the best looking physiques of ALL TIME, and if it's good enough for him.... God Bless!!
