Air Power

F-18 Hornets and other air assets are seen on the flight deck of the USS Ronald Reagan, which is docked at Manila Bay following its arrival on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022. The aircraft carrier, in the country for a port visit, was opened to the media on the same day. US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson, who was on board the vessel, said the USS Ronald Reagan’s visit strengthens the ties between the Philippines and the US, especially now that the Indo-Pacific waters are a “challenging environment to navigate”. With Carlson were Rear Admiral Michael Donnelly, Commander of Carrier Strike Group 5; and Captain Daryle Cardone, Commanding Officer, USS Ronald Reagan CVN76.
