00:00 Hi beauties, I'm Mariam, welcome back to my channel.
00:12 Today's classic pointed cat eye and popping red lip combo was inspired by Chloe Wine Pinot
00:17 Noir and is the perfect look for any upscale event.
00:21 A soiree, a gallery opening or a charity event where you need to look sophisticated, glamorous
00:25 and elegant.
00:26 I modernized the look with a bit of glitter on the inner corner to add some playfulness
00:30 and interest to the eye and kept the lips matte so the color stays put while you're
00:35 sipping.
00:36 And of course I matched it to the gorgeous red of this Pinot Noir.
00:39 So I hope you enjoy this tutorial, sit back, relax and wind down.
00:42 Don't mind if I do.
00:44 Cheers!
00:45 First up is primer.
00:46 I'm using a mattifying formula and applying it to the center of my face and my T-zone
00:50 to help my makeup stay fresh all night long.
00:53 For a flawless skin finish, I'm using a smoothing foundation over the mattifying primer and
00:58 I'm applying it with a large stippling brush.
01:00 Use circular motions to buff the foundation into the skin for that airbrushed look, concentrating
01:05 the product on the areas that need the most coverage.
01:08 Apply to the rest of the face and be sure to blend the hairline and into the neck to
01:12 avoid a demarcation line.
01:14 Use a peachy tone creamy concealer that's a couple shades lighter than your skin to
01:18 cover and brighten the under eye area.
01:20 Then blend everything out with a damp beauty blender sponge.
01:24 To set your foundation and concealer, dip the sponge into a translucent setting powder
01:28 and apply to all the areas that need special attention.
01:31 The under eye, the T-zone, the forehead and the nose bridge.
01:35 You may also use this technique to highlight along the jawline to bring out the cheekbones.
01:39 While you wait for your makeup to bake, take the time to do your brows.
01:43 I'm using a chocolate brown pomade to define, thicken and elongate my brows.
01:47 I always prefer a strong brow with a dramatic cat eye look.
01:51 Be sure to blend the product with a spoolie, brushing out any excess.
01:55 Next use a large fluffy brush to dust off the setting powder aka baking powder.
01:59 This method truly works and leaves the skin looking super smooth and creaseless.
02:04 Add a bit of neutral blush to the apples of the cheeks and use a sculpting powder to add
02:09 some natural definition to the forehead and the cheekbones.
02:13 Highlighter is a must, especially for evening makeup.
02:15 It gives that perfect glow from within that is so youthful and fresh.
02:20 Be sure to apply it over the cupid's bow and down the nose bridge.
02:23 Moving on to the eyes, prime the lids, smoothing the product over the top and bottom lash lines.
02:29 To define the eye, add a nude shadow to the crease using a fluffy brush and windshield
02:33 wiper motions.
02:35 Next use an eggshell color to apply it to the movable part of the lid.
02:39 Using a pearly shadow and a pointed brush, define the high point under the brow arch
02:43 and blend it down.
02:44 Clean up and seal the brows with brow gel.
02:47 This will get rid of any loose eye shadow on the brow hairs.
02:51 Wing out the lash line starting at the outer corner, then drag it back to meet with the
02:54 inner corner.
02:56 Fill in the shape, then gradually thicken the line as desired.
02:59 I'm going for a dramatic pointed cat eye, so I'm also extending the liner slightly past
03:04 the tear duct.
03:05 Lining the lower lash line can make the eye seem very heavy, so I'm going for drawn on
03:10 lash extensions instead.
03:12 This will help my lower lashes look fuller, thus making my eye look bigger and brighter.
03:16 Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
03:19 This will also help masquerade those twiggies you just drew on.
03:22 Time for that pop of glitter.
03:23 I'm applying glitter adhesive to the inner corner, then I'm dipping my pinky into the
03:28 chunky glitter and dotting it on to my tear duct.
03:31 So easy and look how pretty!
03:33 Next I'm applying lash glue to my falsies.
03:35 Make sure you give it a good few seconds to get tacky, then attach it to the center of
03:40 the lash line, tucking in the corners.
03:42 And there goes our eye look!
03:44 So pretty, so fresh and easy.
03:46 I love it.
03:47 For the lips, I'm using a plush red lip liner, outlining the shape and filling in the lips.
03:52 Then I'm tapping it with a matte, non-transferable red lipstick, which is, in my opinion, the
03:57 only kind you should wear while eating or drinking wine.
03:59 And here's our final look!
04:01 The classic pointed cat eye, the matte red lip that is non-transferable, the sleek, pulled
04:05 back hair inspired by Chloe Wine Pinot Noir.
04:08 Thank you so much for watching, till next time.
04:11 And now I'm off to enjoy the rest of my day and want to wish you the same.
04:14 So please enjoy to the fullest.
04:16 Cheers!
