00:03 -Hey, guys.
00:14 It's Jackie.
00:15 So today's look is inspired by "The Vampire Diaries,"
00:18 and I've never actually seen the show.
00:20 So if you think I'm missing out, let
00:21 me know in the comments down below,
00:23 and I will probably start watching it.
00:25 And this look is inspired by Catherine
00:27 when she goes to the masquerade ball.
00:29 And I'm even wearing the mask that she wore in the show.
00:31 And this is by Queso Ink, so I will have the link down below,
00:35 and you can check them out.
00:36 And yeah, let's get started on the look.
00:38 Starting with the skin, after your foundation routine,
00:45 add a bronzer if you're pale like me
00:46 to warm up your skin a little bit.
00:48 Catherine has a sculpted face, so I'm
00:50 going to contour my face with Hoola bronzer
00:53 under my cheekbones, jawline, and temples.
00:56 And after that, I'm also adding a MAC eyeshadow called Coquette.
01:00 And this is also going underneath my cheekbones
01:02 as well.
01:03 And this will create a shadow and make
01:05 even more of a sculpted look.
01:08 For cheeks, I'm using Flur Power by MAC.
01:10 And just go with something neutral that gives you
01:12 a little bit of color but still looks natural
01:15 and doesn't overwhelm the rest of the makeup
01:17 because we are going a little bit heavy on the eyes
01:19 and the lips.
01:20 This is optional, but I thought it
01:25 would be pretty to add a highlighter to your cheekbones
01:28 just so when you put the mask on,
01:29 you can see that underneath the cutouts.
01:31 So I used Pink Cheeks by Too Faced.
01:33 And I'm not even sure if this is a highlighter,
01:36 but I used it as one.
01:37 And this just gives a nice kind of sheen to the skin.
01:39 For brows, I always use Anastasia Brow Wiz.
01:45 It is my favorite brow product.
01:47 And I'm going to draw a line underneath my natural brow
01:50 and fill in the gaps as I go.
01:52 Catherine's brows are straight, and then they
01:54 have a pretty short downward arch.
01:56 And they're also strong.
01:58 So I'm trying to recreate that a little bit,
02:00 even though the front of my brows are a bit thicker.
02:02 After adding in some extra hairs,
02:11 be sure to comb out your brows with a spoolie brush
02:13 so that they look more natural.
02:15 And then you can go ahead and prime your eyes
02:17 before the shadows.
02:17 Next, I'm using the good old Scotch Tape trick.
02:23 So I'm just taking a piece and applying it
02:24 to the back of my hand, and then applying it to my face
02:27 so it isn't too sticky.
02:28 And I'm just taking this underneath my eye
02:31 towards my brow in a diagonal.
02:33 And this will help with the blending.
02:35 The first shadow I'm using is In the Buff by Too Faced.
02:38 And you can use any matte white or cream color.
02:42 Usually I use Vanilla by MAC, but I'm
02:43 using a lot of this palette in this tutorial.
02:46 And I'm just applying this to the first half of my lid,
02:49 as well as into the inner corner.
02:52 For the outer half of the lid, I'm
02:53 using Pillow Talk by Too Faced.
02:55 Next, I'm using Coquette by MAC again.
03:05 And I'm applying this with a big fluffy brush into my crease.
03:08 And I'm focusing this all the way almost up to my brow bone,
03:11 just to get a nice base color.
03:13 And in her look, I saw a lot of grays and a little bit of brown.
03:17 So this is a nice color to start off with.
03:19 And then I'm going in with Cork by MAC
03:21 and applying this with the same brush
03:23 into my crease, a little bit more directed into my crease area.
03:27 And then I'm going in with a thinner brush,
03:30 just so I can start to make a little bit more of a cut crease
03:33 look.
03:33 Now, this is optional.
03:38 And you can skip this if you want the look
03:40 to be as harsh as it was in the episode.
03:42 But to make it just a little bit more wearable, in my opinion,
03:45 I added a little bit of soft brown onto my lid
03:47 and blended downwards into my outer V.
03:50 And this will just make the look a little softer
03:52 when we start to use some blacks and silvers.
03:55 To bring in a silvery shade, I'm using Unmentionables
04:02 by Too Faced.
04:03 And this is a gunmetal-y silver color.
04:06 And I'm applying this into my crease
04:07 with a more precise brush to get a kind of cut crease look.
04:11 And I'm also applying this all the way down to my outer V
04:14 blending towards my lash line.
04:17 [MUSIC PLAYING]
04:20 To deepen up the look even more, I'm using a black shadow.
04:28 This is Stiletto by Too Faced.
04:30 And I'm also going to apply this into my crease
04:33 and down into my outer V. And instead of really elongating it
04:37 all the way to the tape, I'm making it a little bit more
04:39 round, like I saw in the picture,
04:41 while I still have that angled look
04:43 with the other lighter shadows.
04:47 Go in with the same highlight color
04:49 and highlight your brow bone.
04:50 After I've removed the tape, I am
04:54 going to use the same gunmetal shade I used before
04:57 and apply this underneath my lash line
04:59 and blend it into the other shadows.
05:03 Next, I'm creating a very thin line on my upper lash line
05:06 with the Sephora brand liner.
05:08 And you can use gel liner or pencil liner,
05:10 whatever you prefer.
05:11 And I'm only doing it about halfway.
05:14 And then I'm using a pencil liner and tight lining my eye.
05:17 And this kind of fills in any of the gaps.
05:20 To make the look more like Catherine's,
05:26 I am just blending out the harsh line
05:28 so that the black stands out more
05:30 and I get more of a round shape.
05:31 Now that I'm done with my version of the shadow look,
05:37 I'm going to curl my lashes and apply mascara.
05:40 My favorite right now is the Maybelline Colossal Smoky Eye
05:43 Mascara.
05:44 And this really builds your eyelashes up.
05:46 So I'm applying to my bottom and top eyelashes.
05:48 And this is what the look looks like without any false lashes.
05:52 But then I did decide to go in with some falsies
05:55 because it looked like she was wearing them.
05:58 And this is what the eyes look like with some false lashes.
06:03 You can definitely deepen up the black.
06:04 It came out lighter than I thought just looking
06:06 at my viewfinder.
06:08 But I think this look would be great for prom.
06:09 And you could even wear it every day
06:11 if you wanted on your eyes.
06:12 So I hope you guys like my version.
06:15 And moving on to lips, first I am lining my lips
06:18 with a lipstick that I have.
06:20 And this is actually limited edition.
06:22 So I'm sorry about that.
06:23 But just use any kind of browny red shade
06:26 and apply this around your lips.
06:28 And then in the center, you can go in with a bright red.
06:31 And you can just use a bright red if you want.
06:33 But with my skin tone, I prefer having a bit of a darker shade
06:37 around it.
06:38 And there's the completed look.
06:41 I definitely could have made this a little bit darker.
06:43 But this is a more wearable version of the look.
06:46 So I hope you guys liked it.
06:47 And let me know what you think in the comments down below.
