00:00 Hello, my name is Erin Payne and today I am going to do a tutorial on how I do my eye
00:05 makeup.
00:06 This is just a basic neutral brown and gold eye shadow that I do and it pretty much goes
00:11 with any eye color and with any color clothes or anything.
00:14 So it's just basic and simple.
00:19 The first step is you're going to apply concealer above your eyelid and below your eyelid.
00:25 I personally use Maybelline Cover Stick and it works amazing and this is going to help
00:30 your eye shadow to stick.
00:32 Okay?
00:33 So just do a pretty good coat here and under my eye.
00:41 Same here.
00:44 And I just rub it with my fingers.
00:58 Alrighty.
01:04 Second step is applying eye shadow and I'm going to use Maybelline and it's called the
01:09 nude palette and it's basically just golds and browns.
01:14 Okay?
01:15 So the first color we're going to use is going to be this gold right here and you can pretty
01:19 much use any shade of gold but this is the first step.
01:23 Okay?
01:24 So I'm going to use the little brush that comes with it and I'm going to put eye shadow
01:33 on everything except for the middle of my eye.
01:37 So right here is the bottom of my eye.
01:40 Right there I'm going to leave empty.
01:41 I'm going to go almost all the way to my brow.
01:45 My brow.
01:47 Right?
01:49 And then I just do the same thing to the other eye.
01:53 Next I'm going to choose this brown color on the end and just load my brush up and this
02:00 is probably the hardest part because you don't want to look like you're a raccoon.
02:04 So I start right here at my brow bone.
02:06 I'm going to go down and kind of make a sideways "V" and just kind of fill that in.
02:13 Right?
02:14 And then I just do the same thing to my other eye.
02:24 Now after I've done that, I'm going to take my blending brush and this is just the one
02:28 that's kind of feathered at the end and I'm going to blend.
02:31 Okay?
02:32 When you blend, I kind of like to think of it as a windshield wiper.
02:34 You're just going to go back and forth but you're blending more the corners and the edges
02:39 right here rather than the center.
02:41 Okay?
02:42 So try to stay away from the center.
02:43 You just go back and forth and you're going towards your brow bone right here.
02:44 Same thing here.
02:45 Just blend a little out.
02:46 Same thing with my other eye.
02:47 The next step is you're going to take your light color or your white.
03:09 I'm going to use this one right here.
03:10 And you are going to load up your brush and then put it in the center of your eye.
03:17 Okay?
03:18 I just call it the ball of my eye but this is where the light usually hits it and this
03:22 is going to make your eye look brighter and bigger.
03:23 And do that to both eyes.
03:24 And then under your eyebrow right here, you're going to put a little bit of white.
03:25 Okay?
03:26 And then under your eyebrow right here, you're going to put white, the same color there.
03:47 Alrighty now that I've finished my eye shadow, this is really the hardest part and I think
03:53 practice is going to make perfect.
03:54 So the more you do this, the better you're going to get at it.
03:57 But I'm going to do eyeliner and I personally use Almay liquid liner and it's waterproof
04:03 and it has a felt tip brush and I just love this.
04:07 Okay?
04:08 So, I hope I can explain this good.
04:09 I'm going to get my brush and I'm going to lift my brows so I have a tighter surface
04:17 to work on.
04:18 And I look down just a little bit and I'm going to start here almost at the halfway
04:22 mark.
04:23 I'm just going to go out.
04:28 Okay?
04:29 And then once I've done that, I start at the corner of my eye and I'm just going to meet
04:36 it.
04:37 So just a little cat eye there.
04:41 And then I'm going to go back and fill this in.
04:42 Okay?
04:43 Close to my lash line.
04:44 Okay?
04:45 And next I'm going to start almost at the very beginning.
05:01 And I'm just going to meet my other line.
05:03 Now remember, you want the beginning to be a lot smaller than this side.
05:07 Okay?
05:08 So start small and get bigger.
05:12 Okay?
05:14 And then look at your eye.
05:15 If you want it to be a little bigger here, then go for that.
05:25 Most people outline their bottom lash line with eyeliner too.
05:29 I personally just start at the corner and go a third or half the way down.
05:33 Okay?
05:34 And that's going to make your eye look bigger.
05:38 The next step is mascara.
05:39 And usually I just use drugstore brands, but one of my friends sells Mary Kay and I love
05:46 Mary Kay mascara.
05:47 It's about $15, but instead of doing like four or five coats of mascara to get the desired
05:53 effect, you only have to do one.
05:55 And that's why I love this one.
05:58 I usually just look up so you don't get it on your liner.
06:04 Okay, I'm getting kind of old.
06:12 And coat your lashes going up.
06:13 And then you're going to...
06:14 I just go down so you can coat the top of them too.
06:17 And go back up.
06:18 Ready?
06:19 And I'm going to do the same thing to my left side.
06:27 Okay.
06:28 And same thing with mascara.
06:30 Some people coat all their bottom lashes.
06:31 I just do the corner.
06:34 Okay?
06:35 This is the last step and this personally is my favorite just because I see a big difference
06:41 when I do it.
06:42 But I'm going to use a white waterproof and this is just an eyeliner crayon.
06:49 Okay?
06:50 This brand is NYX, but you can use anything that's waterproof.
06:55 Okay?
06:56 So I'm going to go here and I'm just going to outline the inside corner of my eye.
07:03 And I do this to the side.
07:09 Alright, now that I've outlined my eye, I'm just going to go over this with a little brush
07:15 and make it look just a little more smooth and not so bold.
07:19 Alrighty!
07:20 And that is the end of my tutorial.
07:22 So I hope you learned something.
07:23 I'm not a professional, but I do enjoy doing makeup.
07:26 So may God bless you and have a wonderful day.
