A tourist from New Zealand has described witnessing the moment an American soldier rushed over the border into North Korea. The US government says it's still trying to work out where the man is being held.

00:52 But he just didn't stop and he kept going.
00:54 And then the US and South Korean soldiers realised what was happening, chased after
