00:45 And BTS' V is set to release his first solo album.
00:50 The Marcos administration is seeking P9.2 billion in confidential and intelligence funds
00:56 across all government agencies for 2024.
00:59 Just like what happened in the 2023 budget, the proposed confidential fund is P4.3 billion
01:05 and the intelligence fund is P4.9 billion.
01:09 A bulk of these funds will go to the offices of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice
01:13 President Sara Duterte and the agriculture and education departments that they lead.
01:18 The office of the president, meantime, wants to allocate P1.4 billion for local and foreign
01:23 trips as well as state visits for 2024.
01:26 The figure is a 58 percent increase from the budget for travels in 2023.
01:32 In the proposed 2024 budget, the office of the president is asking for a total of P10.6
01:37 billion.
01:38 The 19th Congress is set to deliberate on the proposed 2024 budget.
01:44 The widow of slain Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo agrees with a terrorist tag given
01:49 to suspended Congressman Arne Tevez.
01:52 Pamplona Mayor Janice Degamo tells Rappler there's, quote, "no lesser word that's fit
01:57 to describe him."
01:58 The Philippine government designated Congressman Tevez Jr. a terrorist in a resolution by the
02:03 Anti-Terrorism Council.
02:05 Tevez is tagged as the mastermind in the assassination of former Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo
02:10 and nine others.
02:11 Mayor Degamo adds she understands the hesitation of some people to use the anti-terrorism law
02:16 to pin down Tevez.
02:18 Tevez is the first elected official to be named a terrorist by the ATC.
02:22 The Anti-Money Laundering Council has already moved to freeze the assets of Tevez.
02:29 Here's traffic advice to motorists in Metro Manila.
02:32 If you are in a rush, pressed for time, or quick-tempered, do not pass through EDSA in
02:36 the next few days.
02:38 The Department of Public Works and Highway says it will conduct emergency asphalt overlay
02:42 and reblocking along EDSA to repair the damage caused by the heavy rain the past weeks.
02:47 The Metro Manila Development Authority says the repair will start at 10 p.m. on August
02:51 4, Friday, until 5 a.m. on August 9, Wednesday.
02:55 The repairs will take place along the stretch of EDSA busway from Buendia to Muñoz, both
02:59 southbound and northbound.
03:01 The following roads will be affected.
03:07 For alternative routes, go to the link in the description or follow MMDA's social media
03:12 pages.
03:15 The United States indicts Donald Trump for his wide-ranging attempts to overturn the
03:19 2020 elections.
03:21 This is the third time in four months the former U.S. president has been criminally
03:25 charged, even as he campaigns to regain the presidency in 2024.
03:30 The four-count, 45-page indictment charges Trump with conspiring to defraud the U.S.
03:35 by preventing Congress from certifying Joe Biden's victory and to deprive voters of their
03:39 right to a fair election.
03:41 Prosecutors say then-President Trump pushed fraud claims he knew to be untrue, pressured
03:46 state and federal officials to alter the results, and finally incited a violent assault on the
03:51 U.S. Capitol.
03:53 Trump is the first former U.S. president to face criminal charges.
03:58 Three former dancers for Grammy-winning singer Lizzo file a lawsuit accusing the artist of
04:03 creating a hostile work environment, including weight-shaming and sexually denigrating behavior.
04:09 The complaints, filed by plaintiffs Ariana Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noel Rodriguez,
04:14 include harassment based on sex, religion, race, and disability.
04:18 In the lawsuit, the dancers claim they were coerced into touching nude performers at an
04:22 Amsterdam strip club in late February.
04:25 The suit also states Davis was pressured to participate in a nude photo shoot to stay
04:29 in a dance competition despite her discomfort.
04:32 The lawsuit says Davis and Williams were eventually fired, while Rodriguez resigned over the behavior.
04:37 A representative for Lizzo did not respond to a request for comment.
04:43 Drag artist Pura Luka Vega is accused of allegedly violating Article 201 of the revised penal
04:49 code, which penalizes "immoral doctrines, obscene publications and exhibitions, and
04:53 indecent shows."
04:55 A report by the Inquirer says a group composed of Christian leaders of the Philippines for
04:59 Jesus Movement filed the complaint Monday, July 31.
05:03 The accusations stem from a controversial video where Pura performed a remixed version
05:08 of "Amanamin" or "Our Father," a Christian prayer attributed to Jesus Christ in the Bible.
05:13 It sparked uproar among Christians as well as discussions on freedom of expression and
05:17 the relationship of the LGBTQ+ community with Christian churches.
05:22 The Bosa town in Negros Occidental and General Santos City declare Pura a persona non grata
05:27 in their localities.
05:30 V of K-Pop powerhouse BTS is finally releasing his solo album.
05:35 Big Hit Music confirms the idol is collaborating with NU'JEEN's creative producer Min Hee Jin
05:40 for his solo album.
05:42 Details such as the album title and release date have yet to be disclosed, but V shares
05:46 he's "nervous but happy" and says it will be an album that "captures his taste."
05:50 Meanwhile, Min shares she initially hesitated to accept the offer due to schedule constraints,
05:56 but was intrigued by the idol's attitude and passion, as well as voice tone.
06:01 Min currently heads Adore, the HYBE sub-label that houses rising rookie group NU'JEEN's.
06:05 V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, is the last member of BTS to release a solo album.
