00:00 Manchester has a wide range of restaurants, bars, street food vendors, food halls and
00:05 more in the city centre and beyond.
00:07 For visitors to the area and residents, Manchester is not short of options for places to eat
00:13 and drink, and you're guaranteed to find most styles of cuisine you're looking for.
00:18 From luxurious dining in Michelin-star restaurant Manor, to partying the night away or enjoying
00:23 some excellent German-inspired food at Albert Schloss, to grabbing an on-the-go meal from
00:28 one of the city's numerous street food vendors, there's plenty on offer.
00:32 We asked people in Manchester where they most like to dine and drink in the city region.
00:37 So my favourite restaurant is St Peter's Kitchen, and it's just because I'm Mexican and they
00:43 have a fusion between Mexican and Japanese and it's a really, really good restaurant.
00:49 It's actually quite a hard question because I love eating out in Manchester so much.
00:54 I love Salvi's, I think they do just the best Italian food.
00:59 Ramona and Firehouse, I love their cocktails, they do amazing margaritas.
01:05 Bab in the Northern Quarter, they do really good kebabs.
01:08 There was a place called Cocktail Beer Ramen and Bun which did just the best ramen ever,
01:12 but they've closed now very sadly.
01:16 And for breakfast I'd say Coffee Pot, also in the Northern Quarter, is probably my absolute
01:21 favourite for breakfast.
01:22 Yeah, we're going to El Gato Negro for lunch today, it's a really nice tapas.
01:27 We like going to Six By Nico, we like the tasting menu, it's really good value.
01:32 And Federal Cafe for breakfast or mousse coffee, we quite like going to there too.
01:37 And then drinks is mainly, we like going to Albert Schloss because there's a really good
01:40 atmosphere in there and it's just quite a fun place to go to.
01:43 They have excellent food there as well.
01:45 Yeah they do.
01:46 Sunday roast there, the mash is amazing.
01:49 Very cheesy, if you like cheesy mash.
01:51 We went to Asher's, which is a gorgeous Indian restaurant on Peter Street.
01:56 It was absolutely amazing.
01:58 I used to live over in that area of the world and as far as I was concerned that's the best
02:03 curry I've actually had in Britain, that I could balance against it.
02:08 In fact I got quite emotional just having a Punjabi samosa because it reminded me of
02:12 being a kid, because it was exactly the same.
02:15 If we're using dining facilities or things like that, we go mainly for the carveries,
02:21 that sort of thing.
02:23 There's one near us at Sandbrook Park and there's one at Chadderton near Oldham Football
02:26 Ground so we go to them.
02:28 I've always for many years gone to Band on the Wall, they always have something.
02:33 Also there's a little cafe, a cross from Band on the Wall called Pull Up, it does Caribbean
02:40 food and that's really quite nice.
02:42 Blues Kitchen, I've been there, that's quite a nice place.
02:46 I go to club nights sometimes if it's Sol and R&B, Old Sol, not like new.
02:54 Or if there's food and drink festivals, especially Rome festivals, I'll go to those.
