It feels more like September across the Northeast this week, but a surge in warmth and humidity will set the stage for rain before the weekend.

00:00 We've been enjoying some gorgeous
00:01 conditions in the Northeast,
00:02 but we are tracking some changes here.
00:04 Higher heat,
00:05 higher humidity as we head into our Thursday.
00:07 Temperatures will be topping out into
00:08 the mid 80s for a lot of locations,
00:11 but you'll notice the uptick in
00:12 humidity and the uptick in some
00:14 storms could even talking about
00:15 strong to severe thunderstorms
00:16 into New England.
00:17 So heads up Burlington and Albany.
00:19 Damaging wind,
00:19 isolated tornadoes and can't run out
00:21 hail with some of these thunderstorms.
00:23 I think the heavy rainfall leading
00:24 to flash flooding also a concern.
00:26 This has been an area that's been
00:28 hard hit with flash flooding.
00:29 Through our summer season.
00:30 And as we track this front that could
00:33 bring more in the way of strong
00:35 storms and heavy rainfall Friday.
00:36 We will also be watching for flash
00:38 flooding and localized damaging
00:39 wind gusts from Scranton up to
00:41 Plymouth as we head into the end
00:43 of our week but have no fear.
00:45 The weekend looks lovely.
00:46 Highs in the 70s and 80s.
00:47 Lower humidity and lights wind
00:49 moving on through looking at your
00:51 high temperatures this weekend.
