00:00 There are a lot of state and central government schemes which are focused towards reducing
00:10 malnutrition and they involve various departments like for example in Amravati since there is
00:16 a tribal area so tribal department is also there, there is ICDS which is integrated child
00:20 development scheme and there is also health.
00:23 So I feel that in Amravati mainly what first thing which we did was in coordinating between
00:33 these various departments and making sure that it is a holistic kind of a solution rather
00:38 than in various different departments focusing on their initiatives.
00:45 The second thing I feel is since time since last five six years I was looking at the data
00:51 definitely there has been improvement in the parameters of malnutrition which is infant
00:58 mortality rate, maternal mortality rate, child death rate and still birth rate.
01:05 In my seven years of service I have believed that absolutely no change, no change can happen
01:12 unless all the stakeholders are involved.
01:14 So government or civil society or corporate or especially the community engagement which
01:21 is very very necessary and in these times CSR has become a very important contribution.
01:31 I highly value the contribution because that speaks to the society that they are also being
01:39 socially responsible.
01:41 Also that lot of new projects have come in Amravati through CSR.
01:47 Of course the law also mandates for the corporates to have CSR but I can see that they are doing
01:55 it right from the bottom of the heart.
01:58 I wish Amravati should be a pioneer in the fight against malnutrition and as a young
02:08 administrator I would love to see Amravati in Maharashtra and the whole of India uposham
02:16 mukt.
