Transcript
00:00 You're playing in a Division 1 men's grand final on Sunday.
00:04 How's everyone feeling at the club?
00:06 Are you excited to get stuck in on Sunday?
00:08 Yes, very excited.
00:09 The atmosphere at the club is the same as it has been all season.
00:12 We're here to do our job and every week we're working hard to just play football,
00:18 but we're also having fun.
00:19 So that's what it comes down to at the end of the day.
00:21 No pressure on the boys and just looking forward to another day of getting the job done and winning.
00:26 It's your first year at the club, what's it been like to step into the Wolves and into this team?
00:35 I rocked up about three months ago.
00:38 I'd done my research online and I knew that the Wolves were where I wanted to be.
00:41 After one training session that was solidified.
00:44 I think I joined about three games into the season and I slipped straight into the team.
00:49 The boys welcomed me with open arms and I couldn't be happy with them.
00:51 I made some good friends for life, I think.
00:53 So, yes, it's been great.
00:55 You've played all your life, played all over Europe.
01:00 How has that experience set you up for your on-field performances?
01:05 And what are the leagues doing here in Warrnambool as well?
01:08 Yes, great.
01:09 Football is the same anywhere.
01:11 If you love the game, then you can go anywhere and you play and everywhere feels like home.
01:14 So, yes, it's the same here.
01:17 It's put me in good stead.
01:17 Everywhere I go, I look for a local team and I try to get involved.
01:20 The Wolves has given me that and more.
01:22 So, yes, it's been brilliant.
01:25 You've got six teams across all divisions, men's, women's and juniors.
01:30 What's that like to have that success run through the club and having everyone involved on pre-final day?
01:37 It's unbelievable.
01:38 As I said, I haven't been here long, but I've seen the amount of work that goes into this club.
01:42 There's not many coaching staff, but they put everything into the club and look at what the results you get.
01:47 It's unbelievable.
01:48 So, yes, six teams in the finals.
01:50 Unfortunately, one of the semifinals, we had to knock out another one of the Wolves teams.
01:54 Otherwise, it would have been seven in the finals, maybe.
01:56 But, yes, all we can do now is win all six finals and get six trophies and that will be even better.
02:04 Division one men's undefeated?
02:07 Undefeated, yes.
02:08 Yes, I'm pretty sure.
02:09 What's that like going into the grand finals?
02:12 Do you feel that you guys can carry that form and get the job done?
02:15 It comes with confidence.
02:16 I'm not saying if I was Rangers, I'd be nervous, but I feel like me and the boys are quite comfortable here at Wolves.
02:23 We've just got to do what we always do, which is play our game, relax, don't let the occasion get to us, and we'll come away with that silverware, I'm sure.
