Transcript
00:00 You're through to another grand final, how does it feel today?
00:05 Yeah, it's very exciting.
00:06 Before the game we were all a bit nervous, didn't know how it would go because during
00:12 the season it was one to Cogden and one to us so we knew it was going to be a full 60
00:16 minute game to find out who would be the winner but it's very exciting now that we're in
00:20 and we've got the stress-free week next week just to chill.
00:24 I thought the defensive end was really impressive, getting a lot of intercepts and tips which
00:29 led into a really potent attacking end.
00:32 Can you talk about the mindset coming in, particularly from that defensive end?
00:37 I think for most of the year our defensive end has been pretty settled, we've had the
00:42 same line-up for most of the year.
00:46 We know that Emily Finch is a massive part of the team and last time we played them she
00:52 shot the majority of their goals so we knew we had to shut them down if we wanted to win.
00:57 So you were able to shut her down quite early, had to make Jamie take the mantle a bit early.
01:05 How important was it to shut down some key players, particularly in that attacking end?
01:09 You've got Amy Hammond and Sophie Huffley down in that attacking end as well.
01:14 Yeah, their attacking end is very strong, they're very quick and they love to move the
01:17 ball quick as well so we knew we just had to slow it down whenever we had the chance.
01:22 How excited are the girls, you have a chance to go for back-to-back premierships, what's
01:29 the approach now in these next two weeks?
01:31 It's very exciting, just taking it the same as we take every other week, we don't want
01:35 to change our routine, just making sure we prioritise hydration, nutrition and recovery
01:41 to make sure we have the best chance.
01:43 Thanks.
