Watch: South Warrnambool netballer Hollie Phillips after 2024 second semi-final win
Transcript
00:00Thanks for joining us, Holly. South Audubon through to a first-rate Hampton League Grand Final. How are you feeling?
00:06Super pumped. I think we've put in a lot of work to get here, so we're all just super proud of the efforts that we've gone to, both on and off the court.
00:14I know we've worked a lot on our fitness this year, so I think that definitely helps us in games like today when it's a full 60-minute grind out.
00:21And it was a tough game against Cobden. What did you think? You guys did well to get over the top of them.
00:25Absolutely. It always is. They're super physical, and I actually think we probably matched really well player on player all across the court.
00:33So everyone's got to bring their 100 per cent, and it's always super tough.
00:38And yourself, you had a good game in goals. How have you found your season this year?
00:42Yeah, really good. Obviously, playing with two newer members of the team this year, Em and Meg, so that's been something to adjust to.
00:50But honestly, it's been amazing. They're both fabulous shooters, and I love playing with them, so they definitely make playing super easy.
00:58What did they each bring, respectively, to the goal circle?
01:01Em is super versatile. She loves a front sweep. She's super quick, and I think that people underestimate how good she actually is.
01:13She's just amazing, and Mego as well. She's a super strong holder, and she can actually also move really well as well.
01:19So, first to Tyler all across the ring.
01:21And was there anyone else you thought stood out today?
01:23I thought everyone played 100 per cent. They played so well. Everyone gave it their all, and super gritty today, and they deserve the win, I think.
01:31No worries. Well, enjoy the week off, and good luck in the grand final.
01:33Thanks so much.
01:42.
