00:00 >> So this was an Aggie team that hadn't lost a set all tournament and
00:05 you guys were able to beat them in four.
00:07 What was the key to the win?
00:08 >> I think we just we had a game plan that we actually executed.
00:13 We were able to influence the hitters I think early in the match and
00:17 they just kind of got a little bit in a scramble mode and we were able to take
00:21 advantage and then they figured some things out in the third set and
00:25 we were able to get some runs in the fourth set and close it out.
00:29 >> The tournament obviously started with you guys losing to you and I, but
00:33 since then the team looked much more in rhythm as you said.
00:36 And what do you think has changed since then?
00:38 >> I mean, it was Riley Buckley's birthday today, so
00:41 she just had a really good match.
00:43 And just yeah, we just we talk about rhythm a lot and
00:47 when we talk about getting into the flow, sometimes things get a little slow.
00:53 So I just, after the UNI match, I just said we're gonna go back and
00:56 commit to what we call frog fast and if we're gonna lose,
00:59 we're gonna lose going at a lightning speed.
01:01 So it helped us tonight against that big block.
01:05 >> Gibson and Parr once again played great, both having double doubles.
01:10 What can you say about them?
01:12 >> Yeah, I mean Melanie's been, she had a really good tournament,
01:15 serving off and on, but her serving is an influence for that.
01:20 And Jalen hit over 400 in this match and she's gonna be huge for us moving forward.
01:25 So really proud of both of them.
01:26 >> You talked yesterday about A&M not having enough time with their new coach for
01:31 blocking assignments to get them perfect.
01:34 So what do you think, do you think that was a factor in the match?
01:36 >> I think we're the first team that went at this speed.
01:40 And so that was a little adjusting that they need to work on.
01:44 But yeah, I think he's gonna find some things that we were able to take advantage of.
01:53 We started throwing, kind of jamming some balls that really changes the way you
01:57 block and then hitters were just taking some good swings.
02:01 >> All right, and then last of all, looking forward to next week,
02:05 you guys finally get to play at home.
02:06 How excited are you for that?
02:08 >> Yeah, definitely excited to get back home and be in front of the Frog fam.
02:12 But we have a ranked Hawaii team coming in and a receiving vote Florida State team.
02:18 So it's gonna be a challenge, gonna be a battle, but we'll get back in the gym and
02:22 train and then hopefully keep playing better than we did tonight.
