00:00 how present you are and the leadership role that you're stepping into.
00:04 How much does that mean hearing that from your head coach knowing that you haven't
00:07 been on campus for a long?
00:09 >> Yeah, it always means a lot, especially coming from the head coach.
00:12 He's obviously the one that runs the whole operation.
00:17 So definitely coming from Coach Dykes means a lot.
00:20 Just seeing the hard work day in, day out, before practice,
00:24 after practice, just everything.
00:26 So yeah, coming from the man on the top definitely means a lot.
00:30 >> What are some of the things that you guys as a receiver still need to improve on?
00:33 >> There's gonna be stuff to improve on first week and week 15.
00:41 I would say just like, really just like this stuff, just like timing.
00:46 We have eight, nine guys that play on Saturdays, and
00:50 every one of them is different.
00:53 You have small, quick, you have bigger, you have faster, stronger.
00:58 So it's just about getting that timing with every receiver,
01:03 cuz like I said, it's so different from receiver to receiver.
01:05 We have eight, nine guys that play week in, week out.
01:07 >> You've been kinda all over the offense.
01:09 How much have you just kinda just been enjoying how Coach Bryce has kinda been
01:12 using you so far?
01:13 >> Yeah, it's been awesome.
01:14 I feel like that's what I kinda thrive at, that position,
01:17 just kinda moving all over the ball, playing a little bit of tight end.
01:21 Slightly receiver, sometimes the boundary, and
01:23 that's kinda what I did my freshman year when I had a pretty good season.
01:27 So getting back in that role, I really enjoy it.
01:30 That's kinda what I'm hoping, hoping that whenever I make that next level to kinda
01:35 do those same things, just kinda move around the ball and
01:37 make myself as useful as possible.
01:39 >> High energy guy on offense, cuz I'll admit, it might be you.
01:43 >> Yeah, there's probably a couple.
01:45 I feel like it really depends on what's going on.
01:48 Usually the high, the person with the high energy,
01:51 the guy that's kinda making the most noise, whether that be QB, like y'all said,
01:55 Chandler making a big run and getting everybody hyped up.
01:59 Offensive lineman, big pancake block, receiver making a big time catch.
02:02 But no, definitely one of my, I feel like one of my strengths is bringing that
02:07 energy, I feel like that's kinda one of the things I like to do,
02:10 is get a team up and going.
02:12 It doesn't matter if it's good or bad play,
02:13 always the next one in front of us to go out and get.
02:16 But yeah, definitely that energy, cuz energy rides a long way,
02:20 energy can provide a lot of things.
