NFL Big Week 2 Injuries

00:00 It's only week 2 in NFL action, but we're already seeing some pretty serious injuries,
00:05 starting with Los Angeles Rams' Cam Akers, who's been ruled out.
00:09 Yeah, now, sometimes it's your body that's hurt, sometimes it's your feelings that are hurt.
00:15 And the face of Cam Akers, he's a healthy scratch for week 2 Rams vs. 49ers.
00:21 This is the ostensible starter, and they say goodbye to him.
00:25 And Jay Glazier of Fox Sports saying they will look to trade him now, which is reminiscent very much of what happened last year with him,
00:32 as they move on to the rookie Kyron Williams.
00:34 So the 49ers, Rams, in week 2 will not feature Cam Akers, and the Rams may never feature Cam Akers again.
00:41 If you're a fantasy football owner, you're like, "Ah, if you have Akers, you're hoping he gets traded."
00:47 That's too bad. He, by the way, put on Twitter, he said, "Hey, I'm as confused as you are."
00:52 There will be clarity in the coming days, but the Rams and Cam Akers are no longer a thing.
00:59 Meanwhile, we can jump to the other coast, where Odell Beckham Jr., who of course was the apple of the cowboy's eye,
01:05 and the Bills and other teams, the Ravens, end up getting him.
01:08 He has a year off for his rehab of his knee.
01:12 And a lot of excitement.
01:14 A lot of excitement, and the Ravens have reason to be excited.
01:17 They just beat the Bengals, and the Bengals now, maybe the best team in the AFC,
01:22 in the minds of many going into the year, they start 0-2 now, and the Ravens take a piece out of them.
01:27 Some of us may have picked the Bengals to be in the Super Bowl.
01:30 Some of us may have done just that.
01:33 And of course, it's still a long marathon.
01:35 Yeah, for sure.
01:36 But an 0-2 hole is tough.
01:37 Not a great start.
01:38 For the Ravens, good start here, except Odell Beckham Jr. comes up with an ankle.
01:44 It happened in the first half in this win.
01:47 He comes back and plays a few more plays, and then they say, "Let's shut this down."
01:51 So we will monitor Odell Beckham Jr. on one coast with the injury,
01:55 and Cam Akers on the other coast with controversy and maybe a trade.
