00:04 >> Here we have Andrew Coker, and we'll go straight to questions.
00:08 >> Jeremiah, what do you think the biggest difference was between
00:12 which you guys are doing the first half and the second half?
00:16 >> I don't think I can exactly put my finger on it, I have to watch the film, but
00:21 from the looks of it, it just seemed like they wanted more than us, just for
00:26 being out there.
00:27 That may or may not be true, we have to watch the film to figure it out, but
00:31 it just seemed like they wanted more.
00:33 >> Was there any adjustments that they had in that third quarter that was
00:37 different from the first half?
00:39 >> Up front, it was a little bit there, just trying to pop Mike's a little, or
00:42 pop the mic a little bit, get into some different fronts.
00:46 But we started to handle them, especially in the fourth quarter,
00:50 with the different fronts.
00:51 I can't speak for what they've done in the back end, I'm not too sure.
00:55 But they definitely had some different things going for us in the second half,
00:59 which probably led to a lot of the hardship that we had.
01:03 >> Coach Dodds was talking about this is the second game where you guys had a chance
01:08 to win on the last drive, and now 0 for 2.
01:12 What's the frustration level at right now for you guys?
01:16 >> Yeah, I mean, it's high just because the two games that we lost,
01:20 we had a shot, we had a shot, we had a chance to win.
01:23 It's like you really asked for it, so we have a chance to be in the game,
01:27 a chance to win, it's like you really asked for it.
01:29 And we're 0 for 2 now.
01:30 So I think part of it is, how can we stay out of this situation?
01:35 And part of it is most of the situations, we need to work on executing at a higher
01:38 level.
01:39 >> When you guys were in those situations last year,
01:42 obviously you guys always came through different teams.
01:45 But how do you get to that point where you guys can kind of flip the roles and
01:48 be the ones coming out on top of these ones for a change?
01:50 >> Yeah, I mean, like you said, I think two years ago,
01:54 Coach Peay last year, we had a lot of one score games.
01:58 We didn't come out on top.
02:01 Last year we had a lot of one score games.
02:02 We did come out on top, now this year we're 0 for 2.
02:05 So it's one of those things that you have to figure out.
02:07 That's what this season's gonna really come down to.
02:09 Whenever you're playing good teams, they get a week out.
02:11 When you're playing good teams,
02:12 you're gonna come down to one score game.
02:15 So that's the ball, that's who can make a play at the end, right?
02:18 So we're just gonna have to figure out what we have to do as a team and
02:20 as coaching staff, as a program, how to convert whenever we get into those
02:25 situations, how to execute at a high level.
02:28 >> With the struggles you guys had up front, not out here,
02:31 how bad was it that Brandon wasn't able to be out there?
02:35 >> I mean, that's a huge piece.
02:37 That's the captain of our team.
02:39 That's the lead offensive lineman that we're missing.
02:41 That's no excuse though.
02:44 How this football, right, next stand out mentality,
02:49 we have to play better in his absence.
02:52 Cuz it's football, guys go down, guys gotta step up, but
02:56 we really, really miss it tonight.
02:58 >> We'll go two more questions.
03:00 >> So how do you kind of rally the guys to make sure one doesn't turn into two and
03:05 two doesn't turn into three?
03:06 >> Yeah, what I'm trying to do as a leader is I'm trying to figure out,
03:11 this is usually turning points in team seasons.
03:15 When you have a good team like we are and you lose a couple games you're not
03:17 supposed to, or you lose a couple tough games,
03:19 you can start to see locker rooms dividing.
03:23 I haven't seen it yet.
03:25 You see a lot of finger pointing, I haven't seen that yet.
03:28 But it's all staying together.
03:29 And the best way I can do it is, we're talking about K-State last year.
03:33 K-State last year lost a non-conference game.
03:35 They lost two conference games.
03:37 They got a sudden big 12 title in one.
03:39 So for us, we have to realize that the big 12 championship is not on reach for us.
03:43 And we have to realize that we're gonna have to get our team to go back to work,
03:47 but it's not on reach.
03:48 >> Okay, last question.
03:51 Okay, thank you.
03:54 >> Thank you, guys.
03:55 >> That'll be it, guys.
