00:00 Talking with Scott from Billet Specialties, you think of Billet Specialties, you think
00:03 of wheels, tell me a little bit about the new stuff, what are you proud of here at the
00:07 show?
00:08 Well these are part of our new vintage series wheels, this right here is the grinder, it
00:11 comes in three different profiles and this is called the grinder extreme, it's an extreme
00:17 look, these are only available in 20 inch, this is the knuckle which is fairly similar
00:22 to it except we keep the spokes more solid again, it's available in the three different
00:27 profiles, this one has a dish to it, that has the extreme look to it, these are our
00:32 new pro touring wheels and the nice thing about these, there's a couple of targets that
00:36 we wanted to hit on these things, one of them is being extremely light which I think we
00:40 hit pretty good, we have an 18 by 8 that starts out as little as 19 pounds, these things are
00:46 available in seven different finishes.
00:48 So a little bit of an option from the all buffed up to something that you can kind of
00:53 color coordinate with the trim on the car and more of the muscle car look, they're going
00:58 for that.
00:59 Now you're saying 18 pounds?
01:00 Yeah, yeah, it's extremely light, if you take this wheel here, this is an 18 by 10, yeah,
01:06 that wheel right there is 20 pounds.
01:08 Wow, that's unbelievable.
01:09 So basically it helps the car accelerate a lot faster, helps you turn into the corners
01:13 a lot faster, helps you brake a lot faster, it's easier on the suspension because there's
01:17 less weight going up and down so the suspension acts a lot faster, so we do a lot of things
01:22 to take weight out of it, we recess the bolt pad here.
01:27 Stuff like this you normally see in a three piece wheel, this is a two piece wheel, this
01:31 is a new vintage series wheel that we're debuting here at the Street Rod Nationals, this is
01:34 called the Sprint and like our other vintage series wheels we talked about earlier, it's
01:39 going to be available in three different profiles and this would be the dish profile right here.
01:43 Something brand new, it's a little bit different but it still has a lot of tradition in it,
01:47 it has modern machining features like these extreme angles and stuff here where it takes
01:53 quite a bit of time to machine it out but it's a great classic look and I think it would
01:57 look awesome on any hot rod.
01:59 Hey, you know, I'm a Billet Specialties fan, we've got them on this year's Road Tour car
