00:00 The University of Bocconi in Milan hosted from October 4 to 6 the 11th edition of the CSAR Salon of Social Innovation,
00:08 which in the 2023 edition focuses on the urgency of change,
00:13 a necessary condition to move towards an increasingly sustainable development.
00:18 This year, "Inhabiting Change", which is the title of this 11th edition,
00:24 wants to emphasize the importance of changing our behavior,
00:31 both on an individual level, as individuals in our daily lives,
00:36 and in the way we manage organizations, whether they are companies, third sector entities or public administration.
00:44 Those who resist change are wrong,
00:47 because sometimes it takes more energy to stop change than to support it.
00:54 When you are very good at anticipating it, you have to change.
00:58 The Salon was an opportunity to listen to those companies that have chosen the path of change
01:03 and have understood that sustainability is not a cost, but an investment.
01:09 These companies have to tell the others,
01:12 those who think that by slowing down the situation will improve,
01:18 or that by resuming innovation they will have better opportunities.
01:25 The world, but this is not only true in Italy, is becoming a bit of a bifurcation.
01:30 Those who have understood that this is the direction to take,
01:33 and move in this direction first, and get the benefits first,
01:38 are those who would like to resume.
01:40 We don't have time.
01:43 The world wants to go in this direction.
01:47 Not everyone. The battle is hard.
01:50 And when the battle becomes hard, the hard ones come into play.
01:54 As John Belushi said in a famous film years ago,
01:58 "So, those who believe in transformation must raise their voice,
02:02 as well as demonstrate with facts that this transformation is beneficial,
02:06 not only for the enterprise, but for the whole society."
