These are the adverts that appeared during the broadcast of the superior TV film Les Miserables (featuring Richard Jordan and Anthony Perkins). There are a lot of familiar faces, such as Maureen Lipman, Clive Swift (Keeping Up Appearances), Erika Hoffman (Brush Strokes), Gavin Richards (Allo Allo), Nottingham Forest's Brian Clough, plus future Coronation St stars Phil Middlemiss (Des Barnes) and Ken Morley (Reg Holdsworth), plus a few famous adverts, such as the Volkswagen "Changes" advert, where the girl dumps everything but keeps the car, and a couple of funny Pilsner beer ads.
