00:00 The Manila International Airport Authority is ready to welcome more passengers.
00:05 The airport is now preparing for the upcoming elections.
00:08 According to the MIA, there are expected to be 1.2 million passengers traveling to the country.
00:14 Starting from October 27, the MIA is expecting that passengers will start to return to their provinces
00:24 and will start to travel to other countries because of the long weekend starting from October 28.
00:30 According to the MIA, there are expected to be 130,000 passengers traveling to the four terminals in IA.
00:36 That's why they will have a no-day-off/no-leave for their people.
00:40 Let's hear the statement of the MIA's General Manager.
00:44 Similar to what happened during the Holy Week this year,
00:49 we were expecting a lot of passengers over that 10-day period.
00:53 But since this is a long period, they would have several days when they would like to leave and when they would like to come back to Manila.
01:00 So we're expecting that this 10-day period will be spread throughout.
01:04 It won't be like a full-on day-to-day schedule.
01:08 But definitely for the outbound passengers, we're expecting that to start by around 26, 27, 28.
01:14 And then for the inbound passengers, maybe starting November 4 up to November 6.
01:19 To make the process of flying seamless, the airport has put in a self-baggage draft
01:25 and a self-check-in queue for the international flight.
01:28 And if the delay in the flight is experienced, especially because of the bad weather or any other reason,
01:36 airlines are preparing for a better passenger experience during the delayed flights.
01:42 Cebu Pacific Air has launched an iQ-Pont for the voucher for passengers who are eating during the delayed flights,
01:49 which will not be down for two hours.
01:51 Through this, the line will not be in a queue,
01:53 but will only go to the airlines' accredited restaurants to get free food.
01:59 Let's listen to the official statement from Cebu Pacific.
02:03 Nowadays, our passengers really appreciate a more timely and clear set of communication,
02:10 especially when it comes to disruption, or every time there's a disruption during a flight.
02:15 So all of these initiatives that we have put together, again,
02:18 for the purpose of being able to support a more seamless experience for our passengers,
02:24 not just for this quarter, but also for the next 12 to 24 months.
02:28 Audrey, just like what she said,
02:31 the Philippine Ports Authority is also offering no-leave services for passengers who are waiting for the next flight.
02:40 They are also waiting for the next flight.
02:44 Here in Naia, we expect that the volume of passengers will increase from 10 to 15 percent.
02:51 Audrey.
02:52 Karen, how are the bookings going? Are there fly books?
02:58 Yes, regarding the bookings, Audrey,
03:02 according to Cebu Pacific,
03:04 they are the only airline that we have talked to about the peak season.
03:10 According to them, there are routes that are now close to being fully booked,
03:14 especially the domestic flights.
03:16 But there are still some that will be booked for now.
03:20 So to all passengers, if you have plans to travel during the long weekends,
03:27 especially during the election,
03:28 and during the quarter,
03:29 you should plan your bookings.
03:32 Audrey.
03:33 Thank you very much, Karen Villanda.
03:35 Billionaire.
