Rain showers to prevail over Metro Manila, other parts of Luzon due to shear line, northeasterly wind flow

00:00 Northeasterly wind flow is affecting Northern Luzon.

00:09 It is causing heavy rainfalls in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and even in Apayaw and Calinga.

00:19 Meanwhile, the shear line or boundary of the two air masses is affecting Central Luzon.

00:28 This shear line is usually caused by heavy rainfall, low to moderate rainfall, and low to high snowfall in affected areas

00:39 because it is a convergence of two different air masses.

00:44 In this case, it is the wind coming from the north east and the wind coming from the east of the country or easterlies.

00:53 We expect that the shear line will continue to affect Central Luzon and its nearby areas.

01:01 We expect that there will be heavy rainfall, light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and Calabarzon.

01:11 Wherever we go during this time and later tonight, don't forget to bring an umbrella.

01:18 Meanwhile, the rest of the country, especially in Visayas and Mindanao, and the rest of Luzon,

01:26 expect light rainfalls in the next 24 hours.

01:34 We don't have an LPA or Low Pressure Area that monitors our area of responsibility.
