LPA, 'habagat' to bring rain showers in Metro Manila, most of PH

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Sept. 23 said that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers will be experienced in Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula due to the two Low Pressure Areas (LPAs) being monitored and southwest monsoon or "habagat." 00:00 We are currently monitoring 20 low-price areas within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:09 The first low-price area is 85 kilometers northeast of Ipanta, Quezon.

00:15 The second low-price area is in the West Philippine Sea, which is 125 kilometers north of Iba, Sambales.

00:25 The good news is that the chance of a storm is still low in these two low-price areas.

00:31 But due to the two low-price areas and the low-tide, we will still experience a lot of rain today in a large part of the country.

00:42 And in the upcoming weather, today, the whole of Luzon, Visayas, and the Buanga Peninsula will experience heavy rain and thunderstorms.

00:58 Meanwhile, this part of Mindanao will experience fair weather today, except for isolated rain due to the thunderstorms.

01:09 We remind our fellow Filipinos to be careful due to the rain that could cause flooding or landslides, especially in Luzon and Visayas.

01:23 Although the sea level is high and the oceans are full of water, we should still be careful due to the rain and the occasional flooding and thunderstorms.

01:39 As for our weather outlook, we expect good weather this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, in Metro Manila, Baguio City, Ligaspi City, and Metro Cebu.

01:52 But for our fellow Filipinos in Metro Dabao, we expect good and clear weather for the next three days.

02:02 We also expect isolated rain due to the thunderstorms.
