Transcript
00:00 >> Jared, do you prepare any differently with a changing quarterback with Josh out
00:05 there, does he do things differently?
00:07 Do you have to be on a thinking it all change at all?
00:12 >> Yeah, I mean, I think a lot of people saw it.
00:14 He's not, I don't think he's as quick to really run the ball.
00:17 He keeps his eyes downfield a lot whenever he gets pressure or
00:22 he has to roll out or scramble a little bit.
00:24 So whenever I'm out on a route, just having that in the back of my head,
00:29 just challenge running up, I need to go block right now or no,
00:33 Hoover's running, I still try to get open.
00:35 We got a little bit of time to kind of work our route a little bit more.
00:39 So I mean, that's really been, I mean,
00:42 probably one of the only things that I've had to really change about my game.
00:46 >> Yeah, on the third on the touchdown Saturday, the first one you were,
00:50 you weren't gonna be denied.
00:51 It didn't feel like you took about three hits, bouncing around a little bit.
00:55 I mean, that was on your mind, obviously.
00:57 >> Yeah, yeah, I mean, just trying to be a playmaker down in the red zone.
01:04 God bless me with the size that I am.
01:09 And so, I mean, I just try to use that as much as I can and
01:14 to my advantage as often as possible.
01:16 So I mean, that was just one of those instances.
01:19 >> Everyone talks about Josh's preparation.
01:23 What has he got done with the receivers and
01:25 the tight ends to kind of get you guys prepared as well?
01:28 >> I mean, it's impressive just the things, I mean, the things that he's done.
01:32 You look at him and he's still very young age wise, but
01:37 he's very mature for his age.
01:39 And we've had issues throughout the first probably four
01:45 games that receivers, busting, tight end, whatever it was.
01:50 We just weren't clicking on offense.
01:52 And last week, I mean, we get a text at probably 4 PM and
01:59 Josh texted all the receivers and tight ends and running backs and said, hey,
02:03 I'll be at the facilities at 6, 615, whenever it was.
02:08 And he was like, if y'all have any questions or if y'all wanna come up and
02:12 watch whatever type of film y'all wanna watch, I'll be here.
02:15 I watch film every day with Andrew Coker and Brandon Coleman.
02:21 And we're looking at the IDs and looking at the box and how they look up front.
02:25 I mean, and he's in there just absorbing all the information he can right now.
02:29 So, I mean, it's been really nice to see, even though he's young and
02:35 he's kind of new to this, he's got whatever, one star under his belt or whatever.
02:40 It's been really nice to see just how well he's handled this and how mature he's been.
