00:00 Hi, I'm Laura Reid, the Deputy Features Editor at the Yorkshire Post. I just wanted to come
00:05 on to talk you through some of the features that we've run online and in print this week,
00:09 in case you've missed them. Lots of long reads to be going out, especially for the weekend,
00:14 and we've of course got our Yorkshire Post magazine with lots more features to come,
00:18 published on Saturday as part of our Yorkshire Post weekend edition.
00:23 So this week we heard from Gareth Malone, who spoke to us about getting people singing
00:27 together as he brings a new tour to York, Leeds and Sheffield. We also looked back at
00:34 some of the music festivals that have taken place in Yorkshire this year, seeing how they've
00:39 fared and the role that they are playing within the wider music industry. A Rotherham woman
00:44 living with MS told us about her diagnosis and what her life is like with the condition,
00:49 as she called for more volunteers to get involved in a South Yorkshire support group. And we
00:54 heard from a family in Bradford about their experiences of homeschooling and an art project
01:00 that they've been taking part in, designed to express Muslim spirituality through light
01:06 and sound. Elsewhere, Man Like The Beanstar, Guz Khan, spoke to us about staying grounded
01:12 and his career in stand-up as he prepares to come to Yorkshire in his 2024 tour. And
01:19 we heard from Shadow Chancellor and Leeds MP Rachel Reeves on the women who have influenced
01:24 her as she launched her latest book on females who have shaped modern economics. Finally,
01:31 in Arts and Culture, we looked at Art Collective Invisible Flock's latest project, which reimagines
01:36 the city of Leeds as a forest. As previously mentioned in other videos, we've now got a
01:43 Yorkshire Lifestyle newsletter which goes out once a week, so do consider signing up
01:48 to that if you want to keep up to date with all the latest features content. That includes
01:53 everything from arts and culture content, human interest stories, health, property,
01:59 fashion and so much more.
