00:00 Outside the stadium of Lightweight, Sunderland have got back to winning ways with a 3-1 win
00:06 over Norwich City after three defeats in a row. It was important they got back to winning
00:11 ways today and they had to do it from coming behind, falling behind in the 23rd minute
00:15 after Norwich striker Hwang opened the scoring. That came after quite a lot of Sunderland
00:20 pressure. They started quite brightly with Patrick Roberts looking bright on the right
00:24 hand side but Norwich did take the lead and were quite content to sit quite deep and try
00:29 and hit Sunderland on the counter attack that Worsham appeals for offside when Norwich did
00:33 open the scoring. Pierre Ratcliffe, one of the Norwich players, was offside but he wasn't
00:37 interfering with play and Norwich did take the lead. But Sunderland reacted well to that
00:41 really, applied some more pressure on the Norwich goal and managed to draw a level around
00:46 eight minutes before half time when Tri Hulme's deflected effort went past the Norwich goalkeeper
00:51 George Long. And from there Sunderland managed to take the lead right before half time, a
00:55 really good time to score. It was a great run from Jack Clark who was excellent again
01:00 today on that left hand side. He beat a couple of Norwich players before setting up Dan Neal
01:04 who had made a late run into the box and then dinked the ball over the Norwich goalkeeper.
01:09 And Sunderland kind of picked up where they'd left off at the start of the second half,
01:12 applied some more pressure. Pierre Equa had a shot saved. Nasser Yeroussine came into
01:17 the Sunderland side today making his first senior start for the club and had a few bright
01:22 moments. His movement was quite good at times. He actually made a good run in the build up
01:27 to Dan Neal's goal which created space for the midfielder. You can tell that Sunderland
01:31 still trying to kind of work out how to play with him. Still a bit of a language barrier
01:35 there and hopefully that gets better in the weeks to come as he kind of gets used to his
01:40 new teammates. Norwich did pose a little bit of pressure towards the end of the second
01:44 half. As I said they were sitting quite deep and were trying to hit Sunderland on the counter
01:49 attack and had a few opportunities. There was one where they hit the post with a header
01:53 at the back post but Sunderland managed to kind of make the game safe around ten minutes
01:57 from time when another run from Clark into the Norwich box then resulted in a penalty
02:03 when Clark was fouled. He then stepped up and scored from the spot scoring his ninth
02:07 goal of the season. So a big win for Sunderland. They'll now go again in a week's time when
02:12 they will travel to Swansea for their next championship fixture.
