00:03 >> Take us through the last 97 yard drive, a couple mental areas,
00:07 what went wrong as opposed to what was holding up so strong in the third quarter?
00:12 >> We had them in third and long, and then they threw the shot, and
00:15 then we got called for pass interference.
00:18 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:20 So we had a chance to get off the field there.
00:25 And then there were just some missed tackles.
00:27 And we let them have some yards that kept going.
00:35 And it's just, we gotta find a way to get off the field in that situation,
00:39 in that part of the game.
00:41 >> Obviously no Danny today, how'd you feel like Kip and
00:44 Kobe kinda stepped up in that spot?
00:45 >> I'm proud of Kip and Kobe.
00:49 Kobe played more today than any other game he's had, and
00:53 obviously Kip played every snap.
00:55 They fought hard, man, they fought hard.
00:59 I'm proud of that, but again, it's a combination of us,
01:05 and we win and lose as a group.
01:07 And we gotta find a way to play a little bit better and
01:13 make a couple, I gotta put them in good situations.
01:17 >> Not just Danny, but backup corner, backup safety,
01:20 a lot of just new guys rolling in.
01:23 How tough is that just to keep those young guys going in the form?
01:28 >> I mean, a lot of teams at this point in the year beat up.
01:32 And I'm not gonna use that as an excuse.
01:34 We're all accountable for what we do.
01:37 And I'm not gonna use that as an excuse.
01:39 And I felt some of the guys that stepped up and
01:42 accounted for themselves well today, but they just came up short.
01:46 >> Did a pretty good job growling Ollie for
01:48 what he's done with the rest of the Big 12 defenses.
01:50 What did you see from those guys up front and
01:52 the linebackers to go on that run in the third quarter defensively?
01:55 >> Yeah, I thought that they did a good job attacking the line of scrimmage.
01:58 And in the third quarter, they didn't fit and tackled well.
02:02 And read their keys and showed up where they were supposed to show up.
02:06 I thought the defensive line at times did a great job getting vertical and
02:12 to knock back to allow them to spring, to bring down the stumps,
02:16 bring the fourth and eight inches and fourth and six inches.
02:19 It's tough, so I was proud of that, but at the same time, everything matters.
02:23 I didn't want to do counts, so we just didn't play well enough to win today.
02:28 >> How tough was it to lose two secondary starters in a game with injuries and
02:31 Gentry and Key?
02:32 >> Again, that's an unfortunate part of football.
02:37 Football's a great game, but that's a very unfortunate part of it.
02:41 And I won't use it as an excuse.
02:42 And just gotta find a way.
02:46 >> What's the message to turn this thing, flip that when you've had two just really,
02:51 really, really close tough ones the last two weeks?
02:54 >> Yeah, the message is to stay true to the process,
02:57 stay true to your level of commitment, your level of buying,
03:00 your level of work, and fight through it.
03:03 And these guys are a bunch of fighters.
03:06 And we're gonna fight through this.
03:07 We don't like the outcome of the last two weeks.
03:11 It puts us behind the eight ball.
03:14 But our guys are fighters and I expect them and
03:18 us to come back and play our best game next week.
03:21 >> When you talk about, I guess, discipline, I'm sure you've been asked this,
03:25 but in what ways have you seen that slip, whether it's in practice or in games?
03:30 >> I haven't seen discipline slip in practice, no.
03:34 I haven't seen it at times, I've seen it in games.
03:38 And when you lose discipline, whether it's with your eyes, your mind, or
03:43 whatever, it costs you, because that's the game of football.
03:48 It honors when you do things the right way, and you make mistakes, you usually pay.
03:53 When we make mistakes, we'll pay, but again,
03:57 the guys are a bunch of fighters and we're gonna fight.
