00:00 Texas Longhorns fans got some good news on Monday as head coach Steve Sarkisian
00:05 revealed that quarterback Quinn Ewers is now day-to-day ahead of this team's
00:10 matchup against the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth on Saturday. Sark mentioned
00:15 that Ewers started to throw a little bit last week and then again today. It is now
00:19 to a point where it is about how he feels and how they will navigate that
00:23 this week. Ewers missed the last two games with Texas due to a shoulder
00:28 injury on his throwing arm which originally reported to be a grade 2 AC
00:33 sprain in the Horn's 31-24 win over the Houston Cougars. This injury typically
00:39 takes six to eight weeks to heal but Ewers has seemingly made a strong
00:43 recovery and now has a chance to play against TCU. As Ewers recovered, Malik
00:49 Murphy was given the nod as a starting quarterback. Showing glimpses of
00:53 something special against BYU, Murphy completed 16 of 25 passes for 170 yards
00:59 and two scores with one interception. Murphy then struggled against Kansas
01:04 State this weekend completing 19 of 37 passes for 248 yards, one touchdown and
01:10 two interceptions. Nevertheless, Murphy was able to lead his Horns to a 2-0
01:15 record with the absence of Ewers and Ewers might be closer to a return than
01:20 many thought. Texas now faces TCU in Fort Worth on Saturday. For Longhorns
01:25 Country, I'm Alexandra Cox.
