Transcript
00:00 We're in the Johnson Valley OHV area in the California desert, home of the infamous
00:09 hammer trails.
00:10 They're hardcore and they're a lot of fun and we've got some world class drivers with
00:14 us today who are ready to take it on.
00:17 The weather's a bit bad, but you know, it may be rainy, but at least it's windy and
00:22 cold.
00:23 Fletchhammer is the original hammer trail built by Victor Valley 4-Wheelers over a decade
00:28 ago.
00:29 You might even say it's the father of all the hardcore rock trails.
00:33 So let's go.
00:47 Here we are with Walker Evans, legendary off-road race driver.
00:51 And Walker, so what makes you go slow now?
00:55 Well, sooner or later everybody has to slow down a little bit, you know.
00:59 I've done the Bajas for 31 years and there's always something to do beyond that.
01:06 And I've just really fell in love with rock crawling, coming out.
01:09 After all, I've still got a motor, I'm still out in the desert with mother nature and I
01:13 just love every minute of it, believe me, Phil.
01:16 Walker, I've got a question for you.
01:18 Are you worried about getting scratches on this?
01:20 Heck no, I've got a great body shot.
01:22 It's a beauty.
01:23 I've never seen anything like it.
01:24 What's really neat about this, street legal and still have that fun.
01:28 But you can't get the experience.
01:30 Yeah, you can get a lot of experience.
01:33 Not as much as you.
01:34 Are you kidding me?
01:35 Let's run up this thing.
