00:00 Everton have been far from the Everton that used to be challenging for trophies and titles
00:07 in England's top flight for a number of years. As plans have gone ahead for the construction
00:12 of their new mega modern stadium on Bramley Moor dock, could it see the positive times
00:18 return to the Toffees?
00:21 Well, just looking at Everton's new stadium, obviously a lot has gone on since the plans
00:27 were initially made for it with the takeover situation, staying up in the Premier League
00:32 etc. What are your thoughts on Everton having this new stadium? For the city, it could be
00:39 a shining light in what's been quite a dark patch for them in their recent history.
00:44 I was on the way to the match, the Brighton game, and I was on the train and you go past
00:49 it and when you're going past the ground everyone just turns around to look at it, just because
00:55 it's just going up with a rate of knots every time you see it. It's evolved that little
01:00 bit there and you see the pictures and the drone videos coming out and it looks unbelievable
01:03 as you say. Good St. Park, a fantastic old stadium, but Everton need to upgrade and they
01:09 need to move into the 21st century. What it'll offer is just going to be a top class facility.
01:15 We already know it's been chosen for two of the games at Euro 2028 and then maybe Everton
01:20 are going to be up and listening and can we get concerts in our fields of us? You're going
01:25 to be closer to the city centre, closer to hotels etc. So how that develops now will
01:31 be really interesting to see because that's been me growing up, there hasn't been a lot
01:35 really going on around there so that's all positive definitely.
01:42 Now a look at Manchester and one standout player who seems to be getting better every
01:47 week in Pep Guardiola's side. And no, he's not Norwegian. There aren't many players that
01:53 join a treble winning team and add a different element of talent. 21-year-old Belgium, Jeremy
01:59 Doku, seems to be capturing the blue hearts of Manchester and becoming one of the signings
02:05 of the season.
02:07 Looking at Manchester City now and Jeremy Doku is proving a fantastic signing for the
02:13 treble winners, obviously four assists and a goal last time out in the Premier League
02:17 as well. He's producing unbelievable performances individually every week now. How much has
02:23 he added to Guardiola's team and what can you see him going on to do in the future?
02:29 Yeah he was an absolute joy to watch on Saturday. Not even just the goals and assists, his dribbling.
02:34 He kept bamboozling the Bournemouth defenders. He's brought something really different to
02:39 the city but his trickery and his fast feet in the ball have really proven difficult for
02:43 opponents to deal with and his turn of pace. Really good signing and the type of signing
02:48 that Manchester City always seem to make. These diamonds in the rough and okay, it's
02:53 only the first couple of weeks of him being a Manchester City player but already you can
02:57 see the progression, the development from his first couple of appearances and performances
03:01 and I think City have signed a fantastic player.
