00:00 And obviously, you know, a common topic with Everton has been the relegation battle throughout the last couple of seasons.
00:07 It's looking, I know it's early in the season, only 12 games played, but the three promoted teams are sort of struggling down at the bottom.
00:15 How much relief will that give Everton fans and, you know, Deutsch as well looking down there and just seeing that bit of a gap sort of starting to emerge,
00:23 it must give them a bit more freedom to go and play and not really worry about that relegation battle so early on.
00:31 Yeah, I think, well, it's eight points at the minute between 18th place and Everton, which if at the end of the season,
00:40 if Everton were eight points clear and everybody would have been absolutely delighted because the aim at the start of the campaign was just avoid another relegation battle.
00:47 You know, come to the final three, four games of the season being dead rubbers, effectively, to say from relegation and, you know,
00:56 a 14th, 15th place finish would have been fine because Everton just need to stay up and need to get to the new stadium in the Premier League.
01:04 But as I said earlier, maybe Everton are starting to lock up rather than down.
01:08 I think most people have been pretty disappointed by Burnley since they come up, the way they won the championship title,
01:15 looting Sheffield United, I don't think a lot of people expected much from them.
01:19 And just you just look at those results that Everton picked up against Sheffield United and looting the 2-2 draw,
01:28 where Sheffield United are in the knees of the Lake Jordan pick for saves, they keep them in it and then obviously get beat at home at Luton.
01:34 You look at those and you think Everton could be even further clear of the bottom three.
01:38 But yeah, it doesn't look like great divisions of this season so far.
01:42 But let's give plenty of credit to Everton, they've shown resolve, they've shown steel and they've shown a little bit of quality now as well.
01:50 And the Premier League this season, maybe it's not as good as it has been for previous years.
01:59 Certainly the bottom three and then you look at maybe a team of Bournemouth's quality who've been disappointing so far.
02:04 Maybe Everton should start looking a little bit further up and thinking, well, how far can we finish up here?
02:10 Can we finish bang mid-table? Can we finish 10th, 11th, 12th?
02:14 I don't think Sean's actually getting carried away. I think he still knows that there's still plenty to go.
02:19 We've seen at times when Everton have had injuries this season that the squad can be quite stretched.
02:25 Luckily, the injury situation is looking fairly positive, but injuries can happen when the games start coming.
02:31 You know, you look how busy December is and then over that Christmas period.
02:36 So I don't think anyone will be getting carried away quite yet.
02:39 But at this point, heading into the third international break on the back of another win, yeah, it's looking really, really positive in terms of Everton's survival hopes.
02:48 course.
