00:00Obviously, star man Jarrod Brantway has only played one Premier League game this season.
00:08When he does make his way back into the side, does Michael Keane keep his place? He's starting
00:13to pick up a bit of form and it becomes difficult when you do start to chop and change, especially
00:18when a side is picking up some good results.
00:21Yeah, it's a nice dilemma, if you say, for Sean's eyes to have. Because Michael Keane,
00:29look, he has us detractors, he's come in for flat, but he remains a consummate professional
00:36and he's got us rewards in the past couple of games. He was excellent against Newcastle
00:41in the 0-0 draw and again against Ipswich. He's probably one of the best finishers at
00:47the club for being a centre-half. What a finish it was at Portman Rolls. But I don't
00:54think you can keep a player like Jarrod Brantway out of the team just because of how good he
00:59is. This lad is going to go right to the very top and yes, Everton have kept a clean sheet
01:06in the past two games and maybe they are getting a little bit of stability. But you want to
01:10play your best players at the end of the day and you look at Everton's defensive record
01:14last season with Jarrod Brantway and James Tarkowski playing alongside each other. I
01:20think they had the fifth best defensive record, maybe the joint fourth, something like that
01:25for a team who were in the bottom half of the table. That's a magnificent record to
01:31have and look, I dare say that Michael Keane is braced to lose his place despite scoring
01:38and helping keep two clean sheets. But maybe if Brantway is out for another game or Tarkowski
01:45is out for another game, Everton fans won't have as much jeopardy because it's fair to
01:52say that there has been a little bit of nerves when he has played in games. But he has somewhat
01:59revived his Everton career and now he's out of contract at the end of the season. Will
02:02he be here at the end of the campaign?
02:06Looking at Everton's takeover, what sort of latest you can issue us on that? Obviously,
02:12it's chopped and changed a lot over the last year or so. What's the latest you can tell us?
02:17On the back straight now of the Friedman group's takeover, a lot of false dawns with
02:25MSP Capital buying a minority stake in 777 and obviously Friedman Cup coming back and
02:31John Tex throwing his hat into the ring. But look, the Friedman group are a legitimate business.
02:37In the long term, the aim that supports all wants is Everton returning to the upper echelons of the
02:44Premier League because they have been in the mire for a few seasons. It's well documented,
02:51isn't it? But stability is what ultimately supports as you aim for and hopefully,
02:56once it's all ratified, the Friedman Cup can bring that.
